Ch. 157

"Hmm. It took you longer than I expected, we can't have this." Kaley appeared beside Xyrus in a pop as she shook her head in disappointment while Xyrus huffed sadly.

It seems like he wasn't talented enough.

"Well, if we compare you to my talent then you are indeed a disappointment but when it comes to some weak Time Gods, then you'd already left then in the dust." Kaley said, giving Xyrus some motivation.

"Looks like that gave you some motivation, let's proceed to the next one." Kaley said before snapping her fingers once again and this time, they were back to Kaley's territory.

"This time, I'll let you experience being reversed by the Prime Time. Just to remind you, a second of Prime Time is a thousand year of your Time." Kaley said before continuing.

"This is so that before you learn Prime Time, you must first experience how it works and how it feels." Kaley explained as Xyrus nodded his head in understanding.

"You ready? Actually, you're ready, that's what you'll say after 0 minutes, 15 second and 098 milliseconds." Kaley then snapped her fingers once again.

At first, Xyrus felt like nothing was happening but not until the Prime Time kept reversing that Xyrus could already feel the changes on his body.

Starting from his peak to his development stage, evolution stage and finally, he's back to being an Austrapopithecus.

"This feels familiar." Xyrus looked at his hand and clenched it. He could feel that his strength is now gone, however, his connection with the Void is still there, as if it wasn't effective by the reverse of the Prime Time.

As if reading his mind, Kaley answered his questioning question that rambles on his mind.

"The reason why the Void isn't affected is because I can't interfere with other concepts that is as strong as the Prime Time concept. I think I already told you this earlier." Kaley said.

"Tell me, how do you feel? Even though you're just a soul, you still felt your strength leaving you, right?" Kaley asked.

Xyrus nodded to her question as Kaley continued.

"I don't have much knowledge about souls but, according to the Primordial God of Soul, it is said that as our physical body grows up, so is the soul. Which is why you felt like you lost strength, not because you really did as you don't have the strength of your physical body because you're only a soul but because it's like a muscle memory, once your body reaches a certain strength, your soul will recognize and remember this despite only being a soul." Kaley explained.

"So, in short, it's like my own soul could read my body's strength and limits and recognize them, adapting to it's changes and memorize it. It's like making me think that my soul is as strong as my body." Xyrus asked for confirment and seeing her nod, Xyrus finally got what she's saying.

"Anyways, save the soul discussion after your training with me." Kaley said then clapped her hands, waking Xyrus up from his trance.

"It's time for your real training." Kaley smirked and said.

Xyrus gulped his saliva as there's this feeling inside of him, telling him that his training would be much harder this time.

(After an unknown amount of years...)

Xyrus should have trusted his feelings back then, as now he can't even move his body, or soul to be exact.

"Come on, is that all you've got? Are you a man or not?" Kaley finally revealed her true self, under the guise of a very lovely little Primordial Goddess of Time. It turns out, she's a fucking sadist.

After teaching him the prior knowledge about the Prime Time, Kaley started training him by learning how to fight Time fighters, which she calls for those who uses time.

And unfortunately, Xyrus's first and only opponent is none other than Kaley herself.

"Come on! You can't even hit a woman? What kind of man are you!" Kaley taunted him as she kept disappearing and appearing everywhere while punching Xyrus's face whenever she appears beside him.

"You can stop time but I don't. That's cheating." Xyrus grumbled as Kaley replied.

"Says someone who uses the time stone to do the same technique." Kaley said which made Xyrus's cheeks twitch.

"No need to say it directly to my face, you know?" Xyrus said causing Kaley to laugh.

"Oh I'm sorry. It's just because you're an idiot that you can't recognize my pattern whenever I'm attacking you."

"Pattern? Witch, I've been trying to get hold onto your pattern by so far, I haven't even seen the end of it." Xyrus scratched his head in annoyance.

"Maybe you're just dumb, who knows." Kaley shrugged her shoulders before clapping her hands once again and disappeared in her place.

Xyrus sighed for the last time before Kaley smacked his head from behind.

*Bam!*

"Sigh, I hate this."

***

It took Xyrus years just to discover what Kaley's pattern is and when he did, he finally knew where she would strike next.

"There you are!" Xyrus opened his eyes and blocked a strike from behind.

"Good. Looks like you finally learned Time Comprehension." Kaley stopped and stood straight and looked at Xyrus in accomplishment and satisfaction.

"Time Comprehension? Didn't I just read your pattern." Xyrus confusedly asked.

"Xyrus, there is no pattern. Time Comprehension is where you predicted the movements of a Time Fighter by sensing the slightly movement of Time around you. And that is what you just did, the only reason that you thought it was a pattern was because I told you so, which formed a mindset inside your head that I'm using a pattern instead of just randomly appearing anywhere around you anytime I want." Kaley explained while Xyrus's eyes widened in realization.

"Y-You're right. All this time, I've been too focused on how to read and break your pattern." Xyrus felt like slapping his past self, if only he could then he would.

"Time Comprehension is just the first step for you to learn how to wield Prime Time." Kaley said and Xyrus nodded seriously.

"That means I'm ready, right?"

"You are more than ready."
