Ch. 160

"Should we proceed?" Kaley asks him.

Receiving a reluctant nod, Kaley touched his shoulder and before he knew it, he suddenly saw his entire life flashing before his eyes until he finally arrived back at his room, in his previous world.

"Now, whatever happens, make sure you won't make any contact in this time. Although you're only a soul and won't affect the physical world, but you have the power of Void in your soul. You see where I'm getting at?" Kaley flashed beside him and warned him.

Xyrus clenched his fists as he reluctantly nodded his head.

"...Okay." Xyrus nodded with a bit of hesitation.

Seeing his agony, Kaley felt bad for him but didn't change the plan, although she liked to allow him to change the course of the events, but the downside is more heavier than his agony.

First, if he did interfere with the past, then the Outer-Gods would most likely notice the waves that he created. Second, it would cause his determination in defeating his foes, which are the Outer-God, to plummet as his goal of taking revenge for his mother would be gone.

Lastly, she doesn't want him to think that changing a universe's past through Prime Time Travelling is okay, which is not okay.

Yes, it would not affect the universe's timeline in anyway but like what she said earlier, doing it so much can affect the entire Multiverse and besides, there are other strong beings out there who could sense the energy of Prime Time.

"Look, I've also been through this, but instead of being stuck in a pinch, I managed to overcome it and do you know what I felt like when I finally let go of my past?" Kaley then proceeded to rhetoricallly ask him and when Xyrus shook his head, she finished her sentence.

"I felt free. So free as If I'm devoid of any problems." Kaley spreads her arm, making a satisfied expression.

Xyrus looks up to her before sighing in reluctance. Kaley was right, his past shouldn't hold him back and as soon as possible, he must let go of his past and focus on his future.

"Sigh, look. All I'm saying is that if I can do it. So do you." Kaley patter his shoulders and stared at him in the eye without losing contact.

Hearing that, the reluctance on his eyes vanished and was replaced with gard determination. And when Kaley saw that, she smiled in pride as she then continued.

"That's the proper a Chosen One should handle his problems. Alright, let's attend your execution." Kaley said before realizing something and immediately spoke to clear it up.

"I mean, your past life's execution." She said before she flew outside the window.

Xyrus looked around the room for the last time as he remembered everything about his past life in this room.

He could remember how his mother used to tell him stories on the bed so he could fall asleep. He also remembers all those times when whenever he got scares during bedtime, his mother would always come to his rescue and sleep the night with him, so he won't be scared anymore. In this little room with no unique characteristics, just some ordinary furnitures, holds the greatest memories he ever has and just the thought of letting his past self die along with his mother still made him a bit sad but he knew that he must do this or else not only he won't pass Kaley's test for him, but he would also fail himself. There will always be reason to everything that happens and him being a Chosen One must've a perfect reason.

Xyrus sighed and took a one last look at his room before also flying outside the window.

"Go to hell!"

"Rot in hell demon!"

"Kill Him!"

Sitting in an electric chair, a young man with tears and snots on his face was looking at everyone who stares at him in mockery and disgust.

'Why? WHY DID THIS HAPPEN!?'

Hearing the young man's thoughts, Xyrus was tempted to help his past self from suffering this misery but knowing the consequences, he refrained himself to do so.

Of course, this didn't escape Kaley's eyes and when she saw that he stopped himself from helping, she smiled and nodded in approvement.

"It's kinda weird seeing my past self this....helpless and weak." Xyrus commented as Kaley nodded her head, understanding his thinking.

"Yes, this is why this is a good training for you. If you managed to resist the thought of changing your past, then manipulating Prime Time would be much more easier than ever." Kaley said as they continued watching Xyrus's past self suffer in mocking words and disgust.

It took them 5 minutes before the one who is assigned to pull the lever asked for his last words.

"C-can I use the bathroom first?"

*Thuck!*

Hearing a nonsense last word from him, the man shook his head before pulling done the lever as the electric currents travel from his head to toe, watching him convulse in a state of shock.

"It's kinda weird seeing how my past self died. Especially my last words, I thought that asking for a bathroom break would give me more time to live." Xyrus slapped his forehead and shook his head in embarrassment, trying to hide himself from his teacher.

"I could understand that feeling." Kaley looked in her front with a haze expression, as if she was being troubled by something, especially by what she said.

'Understand? Has she seen herself die in the future?' Xyrus suspiciously glanced at Kaley before turning his gaze back to his past self that was already void of hairs due to the electricity burning his externals like hairs, eyebrows and such.

Xyrus turned to the side and he could see his mother crying in pain while clutching at what's left of his very own son.

Which is his cloth in jail after he gave it to her when his time of execution came.

"Nooooooo!!! You demons!" His mother wallowed in pain as she glared at the direction of a man with a little girl by his side that was staring at her without emotions.

However, what everyone didn't noticed except for Xyrus and Kaley, was that there was a horrified emotion hidden behind their eyes as if they're screaming at themselves that they didn't want any of this to happen.

'They're mind controlled.' Xyrus could already tell and honestly, he pitied them as they fell under the hands of a madman with supernatural powers.

A woman in her 20's then walked beside her mother and crouched before whispering something in her ear.

"Sleep." As soon as she said that, his mother's eyes slowly closed itself and her body fell into a state of unconsciousness.

Xyrus's eyes widened in surprise as he stared at this woman who has a gentle expression, but cannot hide the madness inside her eyes.
