The hell fire

"Stupid girl thought she'll be safe with Markus Malone… What a pity to disappoint her!" they haven't even noticed the fire in the downstairs, pretending nothing was happening and still looking for their revenge.

{Idiots. I need to be careful choosing caporegime. Anyway, who chose them?}

"Police will not even regret they lose her. We'll fulfill their plan for killing her and will get a big reward!" they were close to Aurora, so the fire burned out, surrounding her in a circle and not letting them enter, so they stopped and looked around. They couldn't see me in the shadow of the wardrobe, but they definitely smelled something dangerous, because they started going backward, trying to escape from the room and to hide from me, but not this time. No mercy.

I click my fingers and the fire started burning in the doorway, blocking the way out. They looked around, and I saw fear in their eyes.

"Mm… Markus…" Garrett whispered, looking around for me. I slowly came out of the shadow, tasting the fear in the eyes. Then, got closer to Garrett and squeezed his throat in my hand, then without any word, bite off a part of his neck, threw it out of my mouth, and threw him to the fire burning around me.

"A fire? Malone… Mr…" I appeared behind the other one's back, who was trying to jump over the fire in the doorway, and repeated the murder in the same details. I bit off a part of his neck, threw it away from my mouth, then kicked the body to the fire, where the first traitor already turned to ash.

"Markus…" I heard a weak whisper, then turned around and saw Aurora. The third one, while I was murdering his friends, was trying to reach her, and fell into a trap of my fire. He was already burning, so I just cut off his head with a sharp silver dagger, and threw him into the fire near the doorway.

"Markus…" she whispered my name again. She was exhausted. It was seen on her face and body, but she was happy to see me. The tips of her lips twitched into a smile.

{My poor girl.}

"I'm here…" I freed her in one fast move, wrapped her in my jacket, got her in my arms, and went out of the room, setting it all at the fire. My every step was burning, and by the time I reached the first floor, which was mostly ruined, the staircase turned into nothing but ash. The dangerous power of the fire grew stronger when I found her. She was my fuel.

Aurora was trembling in my hands, but pressing her body towards mine and sobbing. Her head was at my shoulder and her half-closed eyes were fixed at the gun tattoo on my neck. I knew she liked it a lot. She was looking at it each time she had an opportunity.

"You saved me… again…" she finally closed her eyes, making a deep sigh. When I opened a car door, put her in a seat, and put the belt on, I looked at her.

"I will never let this ever happen again…" I kissed her forehead, closed her door, took my seat, and drove back to the mansion, seeing the burning house in a rearview mirror. It made me smirk.

I'm ready to burn the whole world to make her safe.

~Aurora~

I opened my eyes in the well-known room, but something was still different. It was the same comfortable modern big room, however with gray walls and golden paintings on them of different shapes and sizes. The white carpet on the floor was the same as in my room. All the furniture in that room was of redwood, as in mine, except the dressing table that was missing. I think it was Markus' room, so it can explain the missing dressing table and more dark color of the walls. Then, I turned my head to see the big window instead of a wall, when I found out Markus. He was standing with his face to the window, hands in pockets. He was dressed in the same black clothes I remember he had when… Saving me.

I remember what happened.

But not in much detail.

"Aurora," he turned around as if he felt my look at his back, the tips of his lips twitched into a smile, then he got closer and sat on the bed near me. He took my hand and pressed it to his chest. "If my heart was alive, it would stop beating when I found out you're missing…"

"Markus…" tears covered my eyes and I pressed my head to his chest, crying. Markus hugged me tightly, comforting me and stroking my head and my hair.

"Shh… It's over…" Markus hugged me tightly, stroking my head, slowly moving his hand down my maroon hair straight to my back, then he turned back to my head, repeating his actions again until I calmed down and tried to straighten up. He took my chin, put my head up, and kissed my lips. "Better now?"

"Yes," I smiled, straightening my back and kissing his lips shortly, stroking his cheeks and chin. "I don't remember a lot about what happened there, but I'm sure I heard something about that police case…"

Markus suddenly looked at me, frowned, and continued stroking my maroon hair. His look was sad, so I understood I touched a very hard topic. He had a lot to tell me, but he's not sure if I'm ready to hear it.

But I'm ready.

"This police case is fake, as I supposed. The main goal was to kill you, however, I don't know why. And those three idiots stole you to make a revenge for me kicking them because of you, and to get a reward from the police by killing you." He was caressing my face gently, throwing my whole body on tremble. My cheeks turn pink, and my heart went on a race each time his cold fingers touched my cheeks. I looked in his deep onyx eyes, seeing their entire depth. He was so unique to me.

"If police wanted to kill me, I probably heard or saw something, I dare not to see. I need to remember what was that…" I started gently caressing his cheekbones, while he was caressing my cheeks and chin.

"No need to be in a hurry, there's a lot of time. You're safe with me…" he took my chin with his cold thin fingers, pressed his cold lips to mine, and they lit up as soon as I kissed him back. Markus smiled, then pressed me tightly to himself, deepening the kiss. His agile tongue started wandering in my mouth, making me blush.

Suddenly, we heard a knock at the door and Markus stopped, opened his eyes, and looked at me. He took my chin in his fingers, stroking it with his thumb, turned his head to the door, and cleared his throat.

"Come in…" he said, then kissed my lips again. He was calm, as if he knew who was coming. However, I blushed and wrapped his neck, pressing my body to his. Markus wrapped my waist with his other hand.

"I'm back, Markus…" I heard a hoarse, unfamiliar voice, but couldn't see the owner because I was busy with Markus.

"I see," Markus answered calmly, breaking the kiss, "Take a rest…"

I blushed, turned my head in the direction of that man, observing him. He was different from all the guys I ever saw, however, he wasn't better than Markus.

The unknown man was tall, approximately as tall as Markus. He had dark onyx silk hair, brushed in the ponytail, pale skin, and shining red eyes, that were seen even from distance. He was dressed in a white suit and white Oxford shoes. I looked at Markus.

"Raphael, meet Aurora, my Underboss…" Markus stood up from the bed and I stood with him because his hand was still on my waist. Raphael, looked over me from head to toes, noticing Markus's jacket on me.

"And your girl, probably…" Raphael said, observing me, then shook Markus's hand, and turned to me, "Markus' consigliere, and best old friend…"

"Nice to meet you…" I blushed, seeing his concerned look, then he held me in his hand. I touched it, then he kissed the top of my hand, and let it go. Likewise, I looked at Markus, and he wrapped my waist tightly.

"Dhampir," he said, studying me and looking at Markus, "What a rare creature you've found…"

"She might have a mental shield. I was waiting for you to return to study her abilities…" Markus answered, then turned his head to me, "If we train you properly, you would be able to defend yourself…"

"I thought about this. If I can expand my abilities somehow, I might be able to protect you as well… At least from mind-reading…" I blushed and hide my head in his neck. He chuckled.

"Good idea, Aurora."

"Protect from mind-reading? That's a good idea, however, it would be better working if you'd share a special bond they say dhampir could have built with a vampire. Do you remember that myth, Markus…?" Raphael looked straight at him, waiting for him to remember. Markus nodded.

"I think we have it…" he looked at me, and the tips of his lips twitched into a smile, "It helped me find her when she was stolen…"

"I heard what happened…" Raphael looked at the clock hanging under Markus' bed. "Let's start training tomorrow?"

"Agreed. I can substitute my morning exercises with training Aurora…" Markus answered with his cold voice. Raphael nodded, wished us a good night, and went out of Markus's room, closing the door behind him. Markus pressed me towards his body, wrapping my waist." Any plans for the night? "

"Do you have some?" I wrapped his neck.

"I have something on my mind…" he slowly leaned closer to me and whispered at my lips, "What about the tasty dinner?"

His cold lips started kissing my neck slowly moving up to my ear, then leaned down and bit my neck, his sharp fangs broke my skin and my fresh blood run to his mouth. He pressed me tightly with a deep moan. I moved my hands, down, hugged his strong back, and burst my fangs at his neck, breaking his skin and taking a greedy gulp of his tasty blood. I moaned from its taste, and he moaned from pleasure.

We'll have a good night.
