"When did it happen? Why haven't you told me that, Mallory?" Eleanor wasn't calm and peaceful anymore, her mood completely changed, and now she was ready to kill her own son with her own hands. Her behavior could be explained only by the idea that daggers were hidden somewhere where George or Mallory wasn't allowed to enter. Eleanor probably even kept a key from that secret place always with her, and now, perhaps, she was surprised to understand that the key was stolen.

"Around three months ago," Mallory said, looking at her mother without any fear of facing her bad mood, "I was trying to tell you, but your belief in his innocence then was higher than nowadays. As far as I know, he sold it to someone, but to whom exactly, you better ask him if possible."
