"You understand we're here to save you people, don't you?" you say, rolling your eyes. You'll need to put together some kind of strategy with the people of Elith, and the mayor's mansion seems as good a place to start as any. Isidora seems intent on blocking the stairs that lead up to the front door, and somehow she maneuvers her way into your path before you've quite noticed. As you try to ascend the stairs, you end up bouncing off her shoulder and falling to the ground. Colliding with the cold stone of the road stuns you enough that you can't speak for a moment.

"I know that claiming you're here to help is exactly what a demon would do," Isidora hisses, bending over you, "so you're going to give me some kind of proof that you aren't one before you take one more step in this town, do you understand me?"

"Tell her you're not a demon," Min offers from behind you. "In those words exactly. Demons can't lie, remember."

Once you've got your breath back, you comply. Isidora still doesn't look thrilled, but she allows you to stand.
