"I knew you'd have to come here eventually, with the prophecy returning, and it's as good a time as any to tell the truth," Verity continues. "I don't know why it's come back. I couldn't figure out why you'd do it, but I thought maybe—"

"Oh, we know what it is," you interrupt. "And you're not the only one who's started talking about the truth."

Verity is surprisingly stoic as you relate everything you've learned about the prophecy. When you're finished, she rises from her desk. "This Meredith, the demon, what does she look like?" You can't interpret the expression on her face.

You describe Meredith—or the way she looked the last time you saw her—and Verity gives a small, decisive nod. "Come with me," she says, pushing the door open.
