10:57am

Kevin's apartment

"Happy birthday Mom." Kevin said and hugged her.

"Thank you dear, am so happy it's my one hundredth." Granny Mathilda smiled cheerfully.

"Happy birthday Mom, I still wanna exceed that age." Alex added with a smiling face.

Sitting on the couch, "yes of course my dear. You all are gonna exceed above my age." Granny Mathilda chuckled.

"How I wish father was still alive." Kevin said with a low voice and helplessly shook his head.

Sitting on the couch across granny Mathilda's couch. "I missed him more." Alex added with a low voice.

Placing her hand on her chest, "Wherever my Jacob is right now, I know he is happy." Granny Mathilda scoffed.

Sitting beside Alex, "the good thing right now, is that you're one hundredth today, so let's leave the sorrows behind and party." Kevin beamed.

Pausing for a while, granny Mathilda awkwardly cleared her throat. "When is Phoebe coming?"

Startled from the sudden question, "mom what did you say?" Kevin inquired with a weak smile on his face.

"It's been a longtime since I saw my granddaughter. The last time she spoke to me on the phone, she said she misses me alot and she wants to see me." Granny Mathilda stated.

Taking a deep breath, Kevin sighed. "Yeah, even I, want her to come but–" looking at granny Mathilda, "how do I do that when Elsa is around?"

Placing his hand on Kevin's shoulder, "hey man, there's no need to worry about Elsa's reaction. I can assure you that things are gonna workout perfectly when she finds out." Alex remarked.

"Kevin dear, we can't hide the secret for long. Today's my birthday party and I don't want my granddaughter to be left out."

Massaging his forehead, "Mother, you know how it goes. Everything happened in a mistake but I don't think Elsa is gonna understand that."

"I will talk to her about it."

Widening his eyes, "what? No mom, don't do that. It'll only make the situation worse." He stated and sighed. "All these years, I've been blaming myself for my mistake. But why didn't Ruby stop me? She was supposed to stop me, hit me or do something about the situation. But instead, she gave in." Kevin said with a low voice and brushed his hands on his face.

"My dear, it wasn't your fault, remember you said you were drunk? You only did what you did because you were under the influence of alcohol." Grandma Mathilda said.
