"I am," I answered back. I stood up, and she closed the distance between us. The air was thick with tension; our habit of always going for each other's throats made it hard for me to know what to say. I had no idea how to react to her newfound concern for my well-being, but I was curious.
"Where is Patrick?" I asked.
"Patrick made some friends. He is likely with them."
I smiled. "That is good."
"Yes." She answered.
Derek coughed. "I believe that we already met." Kara laughed. "Not really; I could only see your eyes since you spent most of the time hiding behind a tree."
He scratched the back of his neck. "I am still new to all this. It is all fascinating, though. "
Laughed. "Where did you find him?"
"It's a long story," I replied.
"One that you would have to tell me." She said.
"Definitely."
