This alter is different from Lily's back in survival. Icarus wants to show itself to everyone, and let them all witness how can it devour its very own human. It lives in the sky island not because it wants to be alone, but it wants to be close to the sun.
"There's another meaning behind the purple heathers, you know that right?" Icarus asked Sue about the flowers they saw in the island.
Admiration, is the other meaning of the flower. Icarus wants to be admired by people, one of the reasons why it decided to live in the land above the lowly ground.
"Whenever myrmidons or even Mute looks up to the skies, I feel like they are looking at me so highly." It added, and tells everyone that Sue is deep down a very prideful person, but she lowkey wants to hide it by letting everyone see that her self-esteem is pretty low, but not really.
"I know you enjoy being humble, but you crave for attention deep inside." Icarus added and put Sue into a deep sleep.
...
Sue was sent into a memory back on Earth, where everyone of her classmates admire her from being talented yet humble. Everytime they compliment her for her achievements, she just responds like she's just lucky and she didn't achieve that out of her dedication and hardwork.
There was even once a time where she intentionally stole her bestfriend's love interest just to gain more attention. She wants to feel that she is superior than other girls, that she can get everything that she wants. The guy is pretty famous among the girls in the school, the reason why it made her want him so that she can be more famous. Sue betrayed her bestfriend for more attention.
It was a long time ago when she left her bestfriend, they are now distant from each other because her friend doesn't want to get involved with someone who seeks too much attention from everyone, feeling like a celebrity. It is true that Sue is the pretty girl in class, and she can get whatever she wants or even whoever. But her friend, who is more famous than her because of her intelligence and looks, is shining brighter than her - making her feel like she is just a shadow behind her radiance.
"I don't want to be your friend anymore. Everyone looks up to you, and I am being left behind." Sue told her bestfriend named Nikita.
"What do you mean? People look up to you too." Nikita responded in utter confusion.
"No, this won't work. I don't like you anymore. This is goodbye." Sue added, and her words left the puzzled Nikita in complete bafflement.
They were highschool freshmen when they fell apart. After that incident, the once famous Nikita started to be bullied by two people named Sally and Sandra. Sue knows she's being envied by these two since gradeschool, and now that Sue is gone - the one who always stands up for the softie Nikita against bad people, Nikita's defense against them is now nonexistent.
Sue met a new friend named Lark, an ugly girl who everyone likes because of her humor. She likes this kind of friendship more, as she shines like the sun, making her new friend the shadow.
