Hallucinations

When Jae glanced on these creatures from a distance, their apearance made him recall some memories from when he was still living on Earth.

Back when he was still ten years old, he and his twin brother, Gray, were still living in the orphanage. A year later, his brother luckily got adopted by a rich family. Even though Gray doesn't want to leave his twin behind, his foster parents insist that they only want one child. Left in the orphanage, the timid Jae didn't know what to do. There were plenty of times where he was about to get adopted, but his behavior turned off his possible foster parents. He lives in the orphanage until now, while his twin brother is attending in a school for the rich with his bright future ahead.

Even if the two of them separated, Gray often visits the orphanage to see Jae - so that they can still have the connection and bond to each other. Gray is thoughtful and kind. It appears that Jae is too, but deep inside he envies his twin and gets jealous of him.

"Why do you keep on making your adoption so difficult for your potential foster parents?" Asked Gray and even though Jae didn't want to tell his twin about his secret, he still said something like,

"They are everywhere."

Gray was puzzled as to why his twin brother said that. He wanted to ask Jae what he meant but he stopped when he saw him stare blankly to the dark corner of the room.

"No one believes me."

...

One day, Jae left the orphanage without telling anyone that he will go to the capital city. He brought some of his savings and decided to stay in the capital for quite a few days. He wants to get away from the creatures that always surround him whenever it's dark. The thought of the capital being bright even when it's night, urged him to go. He thought the money he has is enough to rent a place to rest for a few days, but it only provided him shelter for just two days. One time on the streets, when he was about to go home, a man snatched his bag and runs away as quickly as possible. He didn't have the chance to follow him due to the shock. Everything he has is now gone, even the money for the fare to get back to the orphanage.

He wandered in the city for the whole day asking people for a small amount of money, but only a few lend him some and was still not enough to go home. He did everything he can until it reached night time. The city lights made him feel safe and sound, not until he encountered stray dogs fighting on the streets approaching his location that made him run. He accidentally went to an alleyway, where the city lights are covered by a tall abandoned building. There is not a single street light on the place, and not even people.

Jae started to hear the voices of the monsters in his head. From the pitch black, they suddenly came into view. Their height is double of his', their arms extend to their ankles, their faces are blank, and their mouths are located on their necks.
