Chapter 3

"Cloud, stop chasing Sylvester." She said as she put down their food.

It has already been 2 weeks since her mother's burial, and she was now slowly accepting the fact that she is now alone.

Aunt Kenna, Naja's mother offered her help. They wanted her to stay at their house but she declined the offer, somehow she wanted to stand alone for herself, not wanting anyone for her to depend on.

"Come here and eat your food," smiling sweetly at the two she carefully sat on the floor and gently tapped it, signaling the two to come over to her.

Luckily, her mother had left her with some money which was enough for her to survive the whole year. She sighed loudly as she got up from the floor to answer her phone.

It was Aunt Kenna, again.

"Please Sera, we just wanna help at least take the money." Aunt Kenna pleaded at her, she again sighed and just said yes to shorten their argument.

"Great! I've already sent the amount to your account, take care of yourself, sweetie!" Aunt Kenna made a kissing sound making her drop the call without even saying goodbye.

She sighed again, she still needs to find a job, even just a part-time one. She can't just depend on someone else, not even Aunt Kenna, it was like her taking advantage of her situation, and people pity her to collect money, which was not a good thing for her.

She looked at her babies heartily eating their meals, a soft smile found its way to her lips. Cloud and Sylvester helped her a lot at her moments.

She slowly walked back to her room to take a shower, leaving the two still eating their food.

After everything else she wore her shoes ready to get out of the house to find a job, when Sylvester and Cloud ran to her whining sadly she stopped and had to calm them down.

"I'll be back later, promise me you'll behave yourselves while I am gone okay?" Both of them answered her in unison with bark and meow, making her smile brightly at them.

She slowly bent down to kiss their heads before leaving.

"See you later," she said with a flying kiss.

Finally, she had stepped out of their house, she locked the door before leaving, she looked at the locked door before finally moving her feet to walk around the streets to look for a job.

But before she could start job hunting she heard her stomach grumble with hunger. She had forgotten to eat her breakfast again.

She looked at her wristwatch, it was still early so she stopped by a bakeshop, and bought some bread bottled water, and two dumplings.

She was eating while walking, looking for signs or posters that says 'hiring' or ' wanted part-timer' but she didn't see any. It has only been two hours and she felt tired, plus the fact that the temperature today hits different. So she decided to stop by the park to rest.

A huge tree caught her attention, so she decided to sit there and eat her remaining snacks. Since the weather is unusually hot, fewer people can only be seen in the park, mostly couples who were displaying such affection in a wide space at such an early hour, seeing the couples all lovey-dovey she had lost her appetite.

She was about to put the dumplings back in her bag when she heard a loud growl near her. She stopped and turn her head around and saw a husky, it looked frail, its gray fur sticking at each other a sign that it hadn't taken a bath.

She also saw some scars, cuts, and burns around the huskies body, she promptly stood up from where she was and went near the dog. The creature keeps on growling at her, its tail violently moving, a sign that it is ready to fight for itself.

"Don't worry, I'm not gonna hurt you." She moved slowly towards the dog, still in her hands are the dumpling.

She slowly squatted in front of it and gently put down the dumpling near it.

She smiled at the husky and said.

"It's okay to feel tired, but giving up isn't a good choice. You are strong, it is fascinating enough to see you alone in here without food and only having a little shelter, if you wouldn't mind me taking you to the vet, I will carry you there. Promise that I wouldn't do anything to you that could harm you. It is okay. You'll be fine." She slowly went near the dog, seeing that its tail had stopped moving violently and its growling stopped. She was about to touch its back when it growled again, its sharp eyes glaring at her. She didn't want it to feel uncomfortable, so she backed down and slowly stood up. She sighed before taking a last glance at the dog, it stopped growling again but its sharp gaze was still on her face. So she decided to just leave it alone there, not wanting to make it feel dominant.

At last, after a minute of walking around, she finally saw a sign saying 'wanted part-timer' the requirements were simple, so she stepped inside.

Upon entering, she saw a woman in her thirties. When the woman saw her, she quickly stood up from the stall with some papers in her hand.

"Here to apply? If you are, here read this before signing." The woman said eyeing her from head to toe. Before handing her the forms.

"Yes ma'am," she smiled and handed her her resume.

"Oh," the woman said as she was looking outside the building.

She didn't glance at it and just continued to read the contract, after she finished reading she quickly signed the papers and handed them back to the woman.

The woman beamed at her while receiving the signed contract. " Welcome to Co-Vet animal clinic! I am Dr. Adamina Roux Sanchez, just call me Dr. Ada or Dr. Sanchez." She extended her hand towards her for a handshake.

"It is nice to be at your acquaintance Dr. Sanchez, Seraphina Kagura Vescara. Please call me as to what you are comfortable with!" She then accepted Dr. Sanchez's extended hand to shake it.

"Please call me Dr. Ada, Dr. Sanchez is too formal Hina. By the way, is that yours?" She followed where Dr. Ada's finger was pointing and saw the same husky she saw at the park earlier.

"No, but I saw that dog in the park earlier," her brows furrowed as she looked outside.

"That's not a dog," the shock on her face was palpable as she give the doctor a questioning look.

Somehow, she saw excitement swirling around the doctor's face as she spoke again.

"That's a Wolf,

And it looks like, he had imprinted on you."
