Jerome (Part 29): Hunting The Mutants

If Jerome hadn't had a quick reaction, his hand would have been seriously injured and melted instantly when the fireball hit him. Jerome had been standing at a distance from Ares's attack distance and was somewhat shocked to feel the threat of danger, which could make him break out in a cold sweat.

If it were just a normal fire, how could Jerome be afraid of getting hurt?

He was sure he could still heal himself even if the fireball managed to injure him. It was a similar feeling of threat when he faced that person's black lightning that he couldn't shake.

Jerome's brow furrowed, knowing that the fire mage was careless and allowed the two vampires he had managed to confine to escape. He remembered Lionel saying the number of vampires was only twelve, but the mutants who escaped numbered more than twenty. What is this?
