Finding Friendship

In Jon's mind, when he saw that girl sitting by herself and drinking a cup of alcoholic beverage and reading a book silently to herself, he couldn't help but connect her face to the memory he had just received from the memory fragment.

And when he saw those eyes, he knew for sure that this was the same person from before. She was one of the girls that he remembered from that memory.

In a flash, Jon was already standing right in front of her with a smile, and his hand extended out to introduce himself, "Hi, I'm Jon. Nice to meet you."

Without even understanding what is happening, she finds herself holding on to his extended hand for her, "Christina."

"I thought I saw your beautiful smile somewhere before," Jon said with a polite smile that made her heart beat like crazy.

She giggled a little before teasing back, "Do you say that to every girl you meet? Is that pickup line working well for you?"

He smiled calmly, looking at her, "Well, I don't know yet. But it seems to be working pretty well right now."

She laughed, covering her mouth, "But I don't know you before. So why did you decide to talk to me out of all the girls here."

She gives him a slight hint by moving her head to indicate how all the girls in the nearest vicinity are now looking and slightly taking secret glances every second and now in his direction.

"Well, I thought you looked a little bored," he told her as their eyes remained together, "and I can't leave a girl alone like that."

She smiled and then looked down at the brim of her glass before telling him, "Honestly, I'm not bored. I'm just frustrated at the moment."

"Frustrated? Care to tell me?" Jon asked politely, tilting his head slightly as though curious about what it would be. However, he seems to already know the answer and could guess from using a little detective work through browsing the memory he has in mind.

"No, it would bore you," she said to him.

"It wouldn't. I promise. I insist that you tell me. Maybe I can help out."

She smiled, hearing how warmly he invited her to speak, "My best friend and I are looking for people to stay in the empty rooms to share some rent. Since our friends who originally stayed with us are now getting married and decided to move away."

"Well, I think I can help you out on that," Jon said with his finger on his chin as though in some thought.

"You have a friend that requires a room?" She asked excitedly, finding herself with an answer to that problem already.

"Not a friend exactly."

"Not a friend?"

"I'm the one that needs a room," he answered, pointing his thumb to indicate himself.

"You need a room?" She looked at him up and down with confusion, and she could see from the attire and the fancy watch that this person she found attracted to does not need a room.

She knows that this man could buy himself the entire apartment all for himself with the rings on his hand and the watch on his wrist.

He is rich.

Not just with a small amount of money, but mad rich, and his rings could pay for years of her current income.

"Your roommate doesn't welcome a guy into the apartments?" He asked in a teasing way.

"No. No, that's not it," she explained, waving her hand, "you're welcome. We would love to have you share the rent with us."

"Well, let us do it then," he extends his hand out to lead the way.

"You're ready to move in today?" She asked with surprise as she took hold of his hand shyly.

She followed him out of the bar as they walked out through the park, and she took him to the apartment where she currently lives.

Along the way, Jon observed the city's architecture, and he noticed that this place looked like skyscrapers buildings that are similar to the populated cities in China than the buildings that belong to cities like New York.

There are many cars stuck in traffic on the busy city street, and when she says apartment room rental, Christina means precisely that: renting a room in one of the skyscraper apartment homes.

When he went up from the elevator with her and into the home at the top of the skyscraper building, he noticed that the house was precisely like according to his memory.

It is smaller than a penthouse, and once he opens the door, it is straight into the living room with couches and a television.

The kitchen has its blue-tiled floorings and the rooms that the residents sleep inside.

When he went inside the apartment home, he could hear a man and a woman bickering together.

"Fiona! Mark!" Christina got in the middle between the pair to stop them from escalating their argument, "Can you two stop bickering all the time."

"Who's bickering with that annoying fly anyways? I'm just annoyed at hearing it buzz," Fiona had her arms crossed with a prideful air about her.

She had a beautiful lock of golden hair down her shoulders and was wearing matching pajamas with a grey coat and grey pants that revealed her slender figure.

"Annoying fly? You're the stubborn cow that won't listen to reasoning," Mark also acted like her with his arms crossed with annoyance, "Jorge specifically chose me to choose some rock songs for the wedding to commemorate our brotherhood."

Jon feels like he is just a part of the background decoration as he watches their comedic sketch in front of him, he didn't choose to break into whatever they are saying.

He knows that even though they may seem like they are bickering and hateful of each other, their relationship actually goes a long way. Well, just according to that memory that he has of the two of them.
