Chapter 11 Are You Here to Get Married?_1

Feng Lin, having listened, immediately released Tang Qianqian. He asked uncertainly, "Really?"

"I have no reason to lie to you," Tang Qianqian said, spreading her hands.

The current photographs of Feng Lin numbered nine in total because the photo of Xu Ruoying had been taken by Zhou Ziying initially.

That is to say, it couldn't possibly be Xu Ruoying.

Feng Lin didn't take all of them out but instead asked, "You tell me first, does that person have long hair or short hair?"

"Why should I tell you? I'm not saying."

Tang Qianqian made a face and walked outside.

But she noticed Feng Lin didn't stop her, so she halted, "You really don't want to know?"

"I do want to know, but I'm not that curious."

Feng Lin sat down on the couch again.

"I have two questions. You answer, and I'll tell you," said Tang Qianqian, asking before Feng Lin could refuse. "First, why did you break off the engagement with me? Second, who are these people to you?"

Feng Lin thought for a moment, deciding that telling her these things individually didn't really matter.

It would be a decent choice if Tang Qianqian, the one who proposed ending the engagement, asked this.

"These are all my fiances."

Feng Lin looked at Tang Qianqian and said indifferently, "As for breaking off the engagement with you, you should understand by now, I have better options."

"Pfft!"

Tang Qianqian couldn't help but laugh and approached him while laughing, "You didn't drink just now, do you believe what you're saying?"

"Whether you believe it or not, I've told you already."

It was normal for Tang Qianqian not to believe him.

At the beginning, his dad had given him ten photos, and he didn't believe it himself either.

"The long-haired woman in the black dress, wearing gold-rimmed glasses, that's our counselor, also the deputy dean of our college, Lan Rou," Tang Qianqian explained.

"Black dress…"

Feng Lin took out the photographs again and indeed found the woman.

She looked very intellectual.

She gave off a gentle vibe, and with a pair of glasses, she exuded an aura of scholarly elegance.

Feng Lin put away the other photos and carefully examined this one.

In terms of figure, she definitely couldn't compare with Xu Ruoying.

But she was above average nonetheless.

Feng Lin planned to meet her. If her personality was as gentle as her appearance, she would be an excellent candidate.

Tang Qianqian also came over and sat on the sofa beside Feng Lin, pouting, "Stop dreaming. Teacher Lan is the school's goddess; there are many chasing after her."

Just now, she also learned from her mother that Feng Lin earned his money through gambling.

Furthermore, the gambling money was borrowed from his friend, clearly showing that Feng Lin wasn't a wealthy man.

"Call me tomorrow morning when you go to school," said Feng Lin as he put the photo away again.

"You can't really be…"

Tang Qianqian was at a loss for words, but since Feng Lin was their family's benefactor, she couldn't just refuse him.

She nodded in agreement and left the place.

Early the next morning, Feng Lin woke up early. He planned to visit the university in the morning.

In the afternoon, he would contact Zhou Tian to sort out the matter with Xu Ruoying.

At 7:30 AM, Feng Lin and Tang Qianqian had breakfast at Tang Hong's place.

Afterward, Tang Qianqian rode an electric scooter with Feng Lin sitting at the back.

The two went from the urban village onto the suburban road and finally arrived at Jiang City University.

Usually, universities cover large areas.

So most of them are situated in the suburbs, and Jiang City is such a case.

The place where Tang Qianqian lived was only a twenty-minute ride by electric scooter.

"Qian Qian! Is that your boyfriend?"

"No way? Qian Qian, you're actually dating someone?"

Seeing Tang Qianqian bringing a man, several female classmates who knew her were utterly amazed.

In their eyes, Tang Qianqian was the epitome of a good student.

She did well in her studies and often worked part-time.

Any man who confessed to her was rejected by her, always with the same reason.

I don't want to fall in love before graduation.

"No way!"

Tang Qianqian immediately stopped, her face slightly red, as she pushed Feng Lin off, scolding, "We're here, go find it yourself!"

Feng Lin got off the car with a smile, gently touched Tang Qianqian's head, and walked towards the university.

"Qian Qian! That man is so handsome! And he's tall, probably about six feet one."

"He looks older, probably a junior or senior, right?"

...

Tang Qianqian hurriedly denied, "Don't talk nonsense, we just met on the way here. He said he didn't know the school, so I brought him along."

Feng Lin arrived at the university and went straight to the academic affairs building.

There sat a receptionist.

Feng Lin leaned on the counter and asked with a smile, "I'm looking for the associate dean, Lan Rou."

"Do you have an appointment?"

The round-faced woman at the front desk asked, looking at Feng Lin.

"No, but I'm a relative of hers," Feng Lin said, smiling.

The woman rolled her eyes, annoyed, "You should just leave. Every day there are people like you; if not ten, then eight. Don't make it hard for me."

Feng Lin thought for a second, just about to speak, when the elevator doors opened across the way.

A woman in a black dress stepped out.

She was carrying books and wearing gold-rimmed glasses.

This person was Lan Rou.

Feng Lin compared the photo he was holding and, seeing it was the person in front of him, immediately walked over.

"Hello," Feng Lin greeted with a smile.

"Mm, hello."

Lan Rou gave a faint smile and passed by Feng Lin.

Noticing Feng Lin was following her, she frowned slightly, "Is there something you need? I have a class to teach."

Feng Lin looked carefully at Lan Rou, his voice sounded so tender.

Lan Rou glanced at Feng Lin with some disdain and quickly walked away.

Feng Lin followed her, and before he could speak, Lan Rou spoke first, "I'm sorry, I'm engaged. Please show some respect."

"Is your fiancé, by any chance, named Feng Lin?"

Feng Lin took out his ID card and handed it to Lan Rou, "I am Feng Lin."

Lan Rou's pupils contracted sharply as she carefully examined Feng Lin's ID. She remembered her grandfather saying her fiancé was named Feng Lin.

How could this be?

Her grandfather wasn't joking; she really did have a fiancé!

"You... you're here to get married?"

Lan Rou had never thought that her fiancé would come to find her in person.

She had always believed it was just an excuse her grandfather used to reject others.

Thus, it also became her reason for rejecting men. Whenever someone confessed to her, she would say she already had a fiancé.

And now, her fiancé had really shown up.

"I was originally planning to break off the engagement, but after seeing you, I think we could talk."

Feng Lin looked at the woman before him, feeling very comfortable. He wanted to spend more time with her.

"Break off the engagement..."

Lan Rou couldn't help but roll her eyes. Was this for real?

He came to break off the engagement, but after seeing her, he changed his mind.

"Wait a minute!"

Lan Rou remembered that Feng Lin seemed to know what she looked like earlier. It wasn't because of her appearance, "Did you have a picture of me before?"

"Yes, actually, I'm a person who values inner beauty. I like gentle people," Feng Lin said as he finished speaking.

A loud engine roar came from afar.

Down from a red Ferrari stepped a man in a suit, "Xiao Rou, good morning!"

Lan Rou looked at the man and smiled lightly, "Good morning, Teacher Song. Please park your car in a parking space."

"I don't have classes today, and I seem to recall you don't either. I've booked a newly opened restaurant. Are you free for lunch?" Teacher Song asked, smiling.

"Sorry, I have a meeting at the Ministry of Education this morning," Lan Rou declined politely, then glanced at Feng Lin, "Feng Lin, let's go."

"Feng Lin?"

Song Fan's expression darkened immediately; he remembered that name!
