I looked around as we passed through the town. It seemed like a typical woodland retreat or hunting town with stone buildings and trees lining the streets. A few new buildings had sprung up along the main street and a nightclub boomed music into a beer garden separated off by a green vine fence.
But soon we passed the main streets and seemed to be leaving the village behind as a few scattered houses lined the street before the dark of the forest loomed over us. After five minutes we came out into another village. This one was in the same style as the first half but there were less shops and more open spaces.
Dean turned away towards a large street that took us up the mountain side after a long drive we finally came to the end and a large estate house opened up in front of us. My eyes went to the various cabins around the ground. It didn't matter that it was dark I always had good night vision although colour seemed to vanish.
As we pulled up to the house a few werewolves began to gather and cast a glance at us. Some admired the bike while others tried to sus us out. Dean came to a stop out the front and pulled his helmet off and grinned as Jeff staired at Molly.
"Fuck… no wonder you took your sweet time getting here." He got closer to take his phone as Dean held it out for him then stopped with a sniff. "You little rat." He glanced at me as I pulled my helmet off and sighed. "Oh to be young and fucking." He muttered and Dean pointed.
"Roxy called four times. I didn't answer any of them." He nodded and pointed.
"The garage is open… and…" He looked at me. "Do you want your own room or shack up with this guy?" I smirked.
"I'll take a room. I like my space too." Jeff nodded and watched as Dean drove around the corner and into the garage.
"Some people have all the luck." He looked to his phone and snarled as Roxy' flashed over his screen.
Dean got off Molly and reluctantly handed me the keys. I grinned and swiped them from him. He took the bag of snacks and my little rucksack and waved me inside.
"This way… You'll probably be staying in a room on the third floor." I nodded and looked around the estate. It was set up like a luxurious hunting lodge with all the modern amenities. The walls were made from a light stone and was pointed to perfection with white grout. This contrasted with all the woodwork which had been stained dark to match the hardwood floors and window frames. Elegant but sturdy furniture filled the place and was a perfect mix of antique and modern.
The sound of my feet hitting the stone faded as long lush carpets lined the walkways through the house and rugs covered the floor around the sitting areas. In all this looked like a very wealthy and homely place.
Jenny ran around the corner and smiled wrapping her arms around me. She glared at Dean and looked me over.
"You're not hurt are you?" I shook my head.
"No, I'm fine…" She nodded.
"Good," She shot Dean another look, then took me by the hand and led me to the stairs. "I have a room prepared for you. If you don't want to stay in the pack-house I can arrange one of the cabins for you." I looked around as a few of the werewolves backed away.
"It might be better if I stayed in a cabin then." She stopped and looked around.
"Are you sure?" I nodded.
"I'm still a stranger here and haven't been formally introduced to the pack yet." I saw eyes watching curiously. "And It'll make everyone feel a bit better." She nodded and thought for a moment.
"Ok." She looked at Dean "Get someone to go to Red spring cabin number eight and get it ready." He nodded and quickly set off. Jenny pulled me up the stairs, then along the corridor on the fourth floor. "Until the cabin is ready you need to have a shower because you stink of sex." I smirked and she led me into a room that smelt heavily of her and Mathew.
"This is your… apartment?" I looked around at the sitting room and she giggled.
"No, this is just a bedroom." My jaw dropped.
"It's fucking bigger than my entire place in the city." She shrugged and pulled me into the bathroom.
"Well, you wash up. I'll pick out some clothes for you." I nodded and walked to the shower that was the size of my own bathroom at home. There was a ledge along the back and various different settings. This was going to be fun. I stripped down and began to play with the buttons. With a giggle I danced forward as water squirted out the holes in the wall that were vertically aligned. After a few more experimental button presses, I got a good rain effect to start.
After a relaxing shower I felt like I could just fall asleep, but Jenny had picked out a yellow strappy dress for me to wear at the dinner downstairs and a pair of matching shoes. She was fussing over my hair as she dried it with that noisy thing and began to pile most of it onto my head. With a few strands left to frame my face she nodded and stepped back.
"I knew that dress would look better on you than it does me." Apart from being taller than Jenny we were nearly the same size in clothing. Except my chest was larger. I looked to myself in the mirror and smirked.
"It's like being back in high school when you did my makeup and hair." She grinned.
"Well, if you would take an interest in this stuff you could do it yourself." I nodded slowly.
"Yeah, but I'm too lazy to do that." She nodded and pointed to my choker.
"That gold thing? Are you planning on wearing it tonight?" I nodded and she rolled her eyes. "Any chance I could get you to take it off?" I shook my head knowing full well the effect my unmasked scent had on those around me especially inside enclosed areas. Jenny however had grown up with me and seemed immune to my effect.
She rummaged around in a drawer then pulled out a yellow silk scarf and wrapped it over my choker.
"That looks way better…" She grinned and her eyes darkened. "Dinner is ready!" she pulled me to the door and we went to the dining room to join the others.
