Chapter 6: The Witch and the Wolf

Loren POV

The black wolf collided with the mud monster and it was knocked back about fifteen meters. The wolf must have been incredibly strong to have that capability.

I figured that I should take the opportunity to run before the black wolf turned its attention to me for its dinner.

Just as I was about to make my escape, a swirling mist appeared around the wolf, and when it faded, Alex Silver was left standing in its place.

So that was what a werewolf looked like when they transformed; I had honestly pictured something more along the lines of The Wolfman or Van Helsing.

Alex quickly ran up the creature and with great force plunged his fist deep into its chest and pulled out a glowing red crystal. He threw the crystal on the ground and crushed it beneath his foot.

The mud monster stopped moving and disintegrated into a pile of dirt, rocks and obviously, mud.

Alex rushed over to me and helped me to my feet.
