Chapter 11: So, This Is What Freedom Feels Like

“Don’t you think it’s strange we haven’t run into anyone?” Hiytax peeks around the corner, scanning the edges of the bridge for signs of Edenytes waiting to jump out and attack.

Aliorah suddenly dashes back to where Hiytax is hiding and laughs to herself as he jumps back in fear and stumbles to the ground, “Relax Hiytax, if there were any Edenytes on the bridge we would sure as hell know about it already.”

“You didn’t answer my question,” Hiytax scoffs at Aliorah’s outstretched hand.

Aliorah retracts her arm and turns her back on Hiytax. She slowly walks over to the mission kiosk. It’s heavily damaged. The holograms flicker in and out, attempting to remain whole but failing again and again.

“We need to try and pull whatever data was on their mission kiosk…” Aliorah looks up to see Hiytax shaking his head at her, while sporting a mocking smirk, “what?”
