Chapter 42: The Bardi

The drums reverberate in a steady beat. The clear sound of a tambourine adds a vibrancy to the musical accompaniment. A violet Mystiikka dances with a tambourine in hand. Her voice carries across the city's center with a combination of strength and elegance. I am entranced by her movement. Upon impulse, I walk towards the stage.

I gaze at the singer while she presents her song.

emme erkane konsanaan, ei.

Mesimarjani, pulmuni, paaskyni mun,

paras aarteeni oot sina mun, mina sun,

mita toivoisin mina muuta." Her voice is longing and sweet.

I sigh with regret. 'I cannot understand the lyrics!' Despite my disappointment, I still manage to enjoy the performance. After all, music has this remarkable way of transferring emotions onto the listener. Even if one fails to know the language, then they are still able to understand the feeling.
