The Skies Beyond The Sky, A Single Step...!

Wrath...!

It was obvious from Devland's expression that wrath and embarrassment filled his chest. The aura which surrounded him instantly became hostile...

WAA!

A threatening and potent killing aura honed from many battles exploded out of Devland's body as his brown hair stood on end...! The white parts of his eyes turned black while his pupils morphed into yellowish-brown color.

RUMBLE!

Saber's eyes lit up as his figure turned into a blur before completely disappearing.

Where he previously stood, one can the sight of the floor sinking in on itself while next to Devland, a spear that seemingly stemmed from the very ground formed for Devland as he went on to grip it tightly...!

"I was planning on sparing your life because you seemed to have not understood how dangerous this tournament was.

But seeing that your parents have failed to teach you to speak to those stronger than you, I will take it upon myself to properly tutor you!..."

THRUM!

The fight between Devland and Saber was the only one to be broadcasted as of now... so Devland's arrogant words echoed in the ears of the beings who were there present in the stadium since!

The figure of Saber once more appeared on the ground a dozen meters away from Devland as his expression froze when hearing those arrogant words spoken by his opponent...

"Oh boy, I think you are the one who is unlucky to have parents who failed to teach you to speak to beings stronger than you. I am unsure if you misunderstood because of how I said it but, I never once stated that I am weaker than you..."

Saber replied to his opponent's taunts with utter emotionlessness. His words were spoken with a seriousness in his voice, yet Devland mistook Saber again, thinking that Saber was once more belittling him.

Tsk!

"It seems you do not understand the situation you have found yourself in...!"

While clicking his tongue in pure annoyance, Devland took up a fighting stance before launching his body toward the relaxed figure known as Saber Blade!...

His actions causing for an expression of utter confusion to descend on the face of Saber who could not comprehend the weird and downright stupid actions of Devland.

The spear that was created from the earth of the battle arena shot toward Saber at incredible speeds. It was soo quick that Saber could say that Devland was easily the strongest opponent he had yet to face.

But, even with this unreal speed, Saber's expression did not change as he simply evaded the sharp pointy edge of the spear that tried to penetrate his skull. And with utter casualness, Saber then sent a jab to the abdomen region of Devland's body!!

URGH!

The sound of Devland letting out a groan of pain, and the sight of Devland spitting up way more than simply a mouthful of blood entered the senses of the spectators as silence descended in the arena.

The expressions of the participants who were close by to Saber's fight and were gazing in Saber's direction changed from boredom to shock, alarm, and even slight apprehension as the attack of Saber was registered in their brains.

"It seems that you are the one who isn't aware of his current situation...

It seems that unlike what you'll normally like to think, you are the one who is the frog at the bottom of a well.

It seems you are unaware of the continent beyond the seemingly endless seas...

Unable to peer through the skies, you are unaware of the skies beyond the first sky and this was where you failed to take in the possibility of there being someone better than you in everything...!"

THRUM!!

Saber's words which were akin to sharp blades resounded in Devland's mind as his anger rose to a breaking point...!

BOOM!!

An explosion going on to take place as Devland's aura shot out of his body and into the skies at an insane amount.

The spectators' skins turned pale as they and their mortal bodies felt the wild and unruly full-powered aura of an Immortal!

The edges of Devland's hair turned yellow while a yellowish-brown dome began expanding from his body.

In a state of madness, Devland used the one ability that represented an Immortal cultivator comprehending more than one percent of an element.

'There are different checkpoints when comprehending an element.

1% when entering the Earth Immortal realm.

5% when entering the Profound realm.

10% when entering the Golden Immortal realm.

20% when entering the Prime Immortal Realm, and finally...

40% when entering the True Immortal realm!

Master said that the peak powers of the universe have only comprehended between 40% to 49%, and most of these peak powers would forever be stuck in the True Immortal realm for eternity...!'

While he gazed at Devland's burst in aura, Saber remembered the words leisurely spoken by his master.

Even though he was thinking random thoughts while in a life and death battle, Saber wasn't worried since his opponent was many, many, levels weaker than his current strength.

'The perk of the name True-Earth Immortal instead of merely Earth Immortal is that cultivators not labeled as True Lifeforms, and are either equal or in a realm lower than my own, would have absolutely no chance against me.

This fight, it does not need to continue...'

Saber this one thought, Saber figured that it was time to put a halt to this farce of a fight.

It was what one could call a fight which wasn't a fight since Saber had not faced a single challenge since the beginning.

And even though Devland had fully transformed into his elemental state, and was preparing to flash toward Saber, the face of Saber remained as expressionless as always as he then took a single step...

WAA!

The relaxed and seemingly unbothered figure of Saber standing a dozen or so meters away from Devland suddenly disappeared from the view of most people presently watching on as even Devland was left in momentary confusion.

Yet, unlike Devland, Saber on the other hand had a slightly visible smirk on his face as in his mind, he couldn't believe the idiot opponent he faced.

With the arrogance his opponent showed, Saber expected at least, some sort of challenge.

But, when seeing the feeble aura that his opponent radiated, Saber was left in confusion by the stupidity to think he can win when using such useless strength.

Now, when taking a simple step toward his Devland, he realized that his opponent seemed to be unable to even catch a glimpse of his figure, causing Saber to feel scorn toward the once arrogant Devland.

A half-second after losing sight of Saber, an intense pain assaulted Devland in his abdominal muscles, similar to the first attack from Saber.

ARGH!

Letting out a blood-curling growl, Devland once more fell to his knees as he was finally able to piece together why Saber had disappeared from his view.

"It...seems...I...was...truly...a...frog...in...the...bottom...of...a...well..."

Devland weakly muttered his final words he limply dropped to the ground forever dead.

Even though one was not allowed to kill an opponent from a different battle, there weren't any rules stating one couldn't kill one's opponent.

Taking full advantage of this, Saber attacked Devland with his fist, obliterating his belly, and creating a wound that was impossible to survive...

The arena entered a state of silence as the only noise that could be heard, was from the battles that took place far away from Saber's location.
