Wind

THRUM!

As the aura radiating from Saber rose, the pores of competitors situated across the city raised... Saber released an intense intent to kill that was comparable to martial art masters who experienced many years of war!

THRUM!!

As if he had bathed in oceans of blood, Saber's purple pupils released a dark evil and red shine.

Facing Abel, who had somehow found a way to duplicate himself, Saber's confidence didn't wither. After those two months extended by 4 times inside the Black Ring, he was confident in his current strength.

These past 8 months inside the Black Ring made it possible for his Instantaneous Reaction, which would normally only be available for his true body, to also be available to the body he was given to inside Virtual Reality.

He hadn't known before, but there were many levels to a True Lifeform, and unlocking these higher levels wouldn't only give him more strength and weird abilities similar to Instantaneous Reaction.

*Crackle!*

A crackling noise resounded in his surroundings as the True Flames being spat from the pair of wings on his back, seemingly intensified in temperature!

Raising his hand in front of himself and opening his right palm, a sword created from the manipulation of red True Flames, appeared in his grip.

Gazing at his two opponents with emotionless eyes, Saber said...

"I wasn't going to use a weapon in this fight, but seeing as I wouldn't stand a chance otherwise, I guess I've not gotten a choice." Saber said, his true intentions remained hidden between his words.

When entering this battle, Saber hadn't expected to see the abilities Abel showed, and Saber was excited to see what more there was to this contestant...

Yet, he didn't know whether there'll be an ability used by Abel that'll be powerful enough to instantly defeat him, hence the appearance of this sword which strengthened him even more.

Floating in the air was Abel's figure made of mist, as the expression it showed suddenly froze, as a horrifying feeling was caught by its senses.

Suddenly, in his vision, many red flames in the shape of blades rushed toward him. Each longer than two meters and contained within them power capable to cause utter devastation!

SWOOSH!

Both figures representing Abel completely disappeared from Saber's view in a puff of smoke, leaving him nothing short of pure surprise, as soon after...

*BOOM!*

An explosion of utmost magnitude occurred. The sound could have been heard in all corners of the city, as what was left below Saber's floating figure was a massive crater, as the many buildings situated under were completely destroyed!

"Did you not read the rules..?"

Appearing behind Saber's floating figure were Abel and his counterpart as they spoke in unison. But hearing what he deemed to be a foolish question, Saber scoffed and replied...

"Oh, are you talking about the warning to not destroy the buildings?" While turning around to focus on Abel, he continued, "I'm sure if you were slightly more intelligent, you'd have figured out that such a warning is meant only to scare idiotic persons..."

[For every building destroyed by a contestant, 4 points would be deducted]

When seeing those words on the holographic screen for the first time, Saber immediately smiled as in his thoughts, he assessed...

'Each contestant you kill gives you five points and if you're to kill every contestant in the city...

It doesn't matter how many points you lose from causing mass destruction since there wouldn't be another contestant with more points than you...'

[When defeating an opponent, the victor would gain all the points this opponent once had]

Each contestant was worth five points, and when multiplied by 35 which was the amount of Solar Systems with life in this part of the Milky Way Galaxy, and also the number of teams taking place in the competition, Saber calculated that he simply needed to not lose more than 174 points caused by the destruction of buildings.

Seeing this, the first rule was already canceled out by this one.

'All caused by some simple calculations, now I've got a whole crater multiple meters wide where I can use my full power... this crater which I'll use to draw in all my opponents...' Saber thought...

'But first!' As he then honed his attention toward Abel and Abel, his current troublesome enemy, or enemies...

Floating in the night skies, some meters away from him, were his opponents.

With Saber's last attack leaving deep marks of shock in the depths of their minds, due to the raw power, they both now adorned cold expressions as their auras slowly expanded.

A dome invisible to mortal eyes escaped both their figures as it combined and quickly grew larger and larger, as soon enough, it had already grown to cover a couple of hundred meters in the air.

Seeing it, Saber did nothing as he let the dome grow, simultaneously, allowing Abel to grow stronger.

"You seem confident that you'll be able to face us..?" With a slightly confused expression, they both uttered to Saber with their voice synched.

And hearing those words, Saber's figure, which radiated immense heat that greatly affected his surroundings, would shockingly disappear, as it then reappeared right in front of the humanoid face of one Abel!

And with a smirk on his face, a smirk capable of gaining him any woman he ever so desired to dominate, Saber slashed downward, using his flaming sword that spat True Flames capable of burning the fabrics of Space itself.

*SWOOSH!*

Given a mere one-thousandth of a microsecond to react, Abel was left without any route for escape, even after being greatly strengthened by the appearance of his transparent domain.

*CRACK!*

As a fissure opened up in the skies exactly where Abel was previously present, Saber's figure once more disappeared as the now, only surviving Abel, was finally capable of catching sight of Saber's figure, which was peacefully afloat, gazing into Abel's eyes a few inches from his face!

"What is this form you are in? Is this the power of the wind?" With curiosity clear from his expression, Saber asked Abel who was still a gathering of wind which then made a humanoid form similar to Abel when he was fully human.

Now, inside Virtual Reality, and without the ability to devour his opponent's very existence, Saber could only ease his curiosity by downright asking his opponent...

THRUM!!

This was something that could be seen as an utterly arrogant thing to do, especially if one is to do it during the middle of a battle!

Yet, with the great and overwhelming power of Saber, this wasn't merely a thought, but he actually did it.

Grrrrrrrr!!

This action was something to get on Abel's nerves, as he gritted his teeth in anger while clenching his fist. But, just as he was about to attack Saber as if sensing something from Saber, or behind Saber, Abel's movements came to an abrupt halt...

Abel, who was only moments ago showing hostility to Saber, shocked the True Lifeform when his expression morphed from a wrathful one to that of calmness.

Saber grew more confused when...

"You want to know this form..? Why don't you ask the figure who you just slashed in half!"

Abel uttered while raising his finger and pointing it to behind Saber, where one can see a shocking sight of what was once two halves split from Saber's sword, and a fissure in space, once more come back together..!

THRUM!!!!
