1,000 Years (9)

But, not only did his anger reach new heights, so to did his cautiousness and even his fear of Oblivion as, no matter how stupid one was, the instinct in the face of death would prevail.

"W-What was that just now...?" He asked in a calm voice. He had already regained his bearings. A genius was only a genius, to become stronger, a genius needed time.

And he didn't have enough time but, even if he did if the person in front of him is genuinely Saber, then he still would be unable to do anything even with time...

Saber was simply too monstrous of a genius.

"Annihilation... You experienced what it feels like, what annihilation is like... Is it not beautiful...?" He, Oblivion, replied. Liam merely gave a nod, not taking the latter half of his words seriously as seriousness took over once again.

"So, what do you want from me... Saber?" Upon hearing Liam's words, Oblivion replied whilst a wide grin was etched onto his face.

"Oblivion... Call me Oblivion and as for what I want, you'll understand eventually. For now, simply do what you were doing before, continue cultivating, growing your strength, and raising your understanding of the way of the sword..."

With these words, Oblivion closed his eyes and re-entered a deep state of comprehensive cultivation, deepening his understanding once more. Dawn also followed suit, and after a bit of apprehension, so to did Liam as the black sword levitated in the air in front of his eyes.

Like this, time passed. Once again, it was like a dream and the flow of time was distorted. Though he said it casually, Oblivion wasn't 100% confident that when meeting Saber, there'll be a lack of resistance and the two would be all happy and giddy with one another.

Who knew, they may enter a death battle like all other Void clan people and Deity clan members that existed inside creation. So the most important thing was to raise his strength. With enough strength, whether Oblivion could subdue and forcefully merge with Saber or not... everything would be possible once he was stronger than Saber by a large margin.

But was such a thing possible? Saber was also growing stronger in a constant manner. He lacked any limits to his ability to devour as his desire was unsatiable. A desire for the unknown, and a desire for absolute strength... Making his devouring ability even crazier and unfair.

With some good luck, finding the corpse of some transcendent being, wasn't it possible for Saber's cultivation to simply shoot through the roof? Hence, Oblivion always had constant pressure on his shoulders every time he thought of this. Pressure to raise his strength quickly.

A few more years passed by and a minute explosion escaped Oblivion's body. Unknowingly, a mysterious aura coated his body though no one sensed it. Not even the sound was heard by others even though it resounded throughout the room.

Years went by once again. This time, an explosion took place that entered the ears of all present as it was Dawn who seemed to have broken through. His aura caused Liam to jump up in shock as he realized that Dawn had already reached the level of a Pseudo Golden Immortal.

A decade later, Liam's body released an explosion. A loud noise alerted Dawn and Oblivion as the sword master broke past the barrier that stopped him from entering the Eight Stage of the Profound Immortal realm.

One year after that, another explosion escaped Oblivion's body. Though muffled, it entered the ears of all present yet none reacted, as if they didn't even hear of it as even Cecelia had remained standing with her eyes closed as if she hadn't heard of anything.

Four decades later, a ripple in space awoke everyone present. Liam opened his eyes as a sharp light escaped them releasing an illusion as if a sword was pointed at one's throat. Dawn's eyelashes trembled as his eyes widened open, releasing a multi-colored holy light.

All present felt a chill run down their spine as two abyssal oceans in the shape of circle orbs appeared in the outside world. Oblivion's eyes caused even Cecelia to feel uncomfortable as he stood up and stared toward the origin of the ripples in space.

Rumble!

The room trembled. The feeling of an earthquake of a large magnitude took form as the bodies of Dawn and Liam lost balance for a moment.

Boom!

An explosion that momentarily blanked the minds of the duo occurred. Thereafter the explosion, the sunlight landed on their skin and one would realize that the room the duo had meditated in had disappeared, most probably turned into dust due to the previous explosion.

At the same time, this happened, as if instinctively, the floating sword flashed, and its hilt was immediately gripped tightly by Liam's palm. His expression turned cold as he stared toward the hundreds or possibly thousands of figures that were appearing in the barren land in their view.

To be honest, he had come to enjoy the past several decades. It was enjoyable solely because though Oblivion had defeated him, the latter didn't harm him in any way, and even allowed him to continue comprehending the path of the sword.

In these decades, though his cultivation continued to slow down due to only being a High-Level Treasure comparable to a Profound Immortal being, he still improved by leaps and bounds. So for his time of deep comprehension to be forcefully interrupted by enemies... Liam was ready to slaughter these people!

On the other hand, Dawn remained with the same unreadable and cold expression he had when agreeing to follow Oblivion. Cecelia stood next to Oblivion with a cold and aloof aura surrounding her and seeing this, Oblivion mysteriously smiled.

With one hand on his waist, his right hand then did something that sent waves of shock up Cecelia's mind and body. Oblivion's right hand wrapped around Cecelia's slender waist pulling her into his embrace.

"A-!" Cecelia murmured in astonishment but Oblivion's words stopped her. "Why are you always so serious? You remind me of myself... I think that life is too long to be soo serious all the time otherwise, it'll be a bit too boring."

"Ob-S-Creator!" But before she could continue, once again, her words were interrupted by Oblivion whose finger landed on her lips covered by the veil on her face. "Call me Oblivion..." He ordered.

Retaining her coldness, she then pointed toward the group of newly appearing figures while still in his embrace as she said in a monotone voice.

"Oblivion, each of them is a Prime Immortal. Not just any Prime Immortal, similar to how I have my snowy lands, these Prime Immortals have all created their lands inside Heavenly Mystic Domain...

Meaning, they were born inside of the Heavenly Mystic Domain, meaning, their strength is amplified inside of the Heavenly Mystic Domain...! You must understand that there weren't even two hundred Golden Immortals, in the presence of thousands of Prime Immortals..."

Sigh!

"Hopefully, they aren't like Noah." Thousands of Prime Immortals... If they were also resistant to Oblivion's desire and chose to oppose and eliminate him, Oblivion definitely had no chance of resisting them.

Hearing this, Liam's face changed. He had heard of Golden Immortals before, but Prime Immortals... And most importantly, it seemed to him that Prime Immortals were even stronger than Golden Immortals!

Yet, Oblivion remained unbothered and still smiling. "Orion, how many have agreed, and how many have tried opposing." Oblivion uttered as a ripple in the void appeared next to him...
