The Final Enemy (2)

Looking up, Saber watched as layers of the space were distorted, twisted, and cracked to pieces as several lights then shot out. Each radiated with strength more dangerous than the last.

"This!" Saber felt his heartbeat spike as the layers of space opened out to welcome several beings who all emitted power beyond that of a Prime Immortal.

"These are what you refer to as True Immortals, and they will be your opponents." Saber's expression darkened seeing the arrogant expressions on each of these True Immortals' faces... All but one... A True Immortal that he, Saber recognized.

"Tower Lord, is this little Prime Immortal the enemy who must die? Though True Immortals are suppressed on the lower floors, he's way too weak for him to be an opponent even in our state."

What seemed to be a lifeform that was the fusion of a snake and a goat released its thoughts while staring at Saber with a pair of condensing piercing eyes.

"But, whatever. It is a pity to stoop so low to kill a Prime Immortal, but the idea of transcending this realm is simply too much compared to mere pride."

Saying this, its crimson eyes gleamed with a demonic light. But, as it was about to approach Saber, a hand stopped it from moving.

Similar to the snake goat, the eyes of this being was purely a bloody crimson red. Its figure was humanoid and its hair was white and long. He had a handsome appearance and stared emotionlessly at Saber.

Saber recognized this person. The two had once crossed paths a long time ago. For Saber at least, it was a long time ago after experiencing the previous thousand years of intensive training.

"Little boy, in the blink of an eye, you've already become a Prime Immortal. When Adrianna said that you were a prodigy, she was underexaggerating... incredibly so too!"

Thrum!

Yes, it turned out this person seemed to know of Adrianna. Only one person in Hell's Tower knew of Adrianna, and this person was her master.

"Disciple greets the master!" Saber smirked while saying this. "Adrianna, where is Adrianna, your Senior Sister?" Saber's 'master' who had turned him into a 'vampire' ignored his greetings and directly asked a question that made him agitated.

"Oh, her?" Saber waved his hand. The void behind him became even darker. Though one couldn't see it, exiting Saber's shadow was a figure with long white hair and crimson eyes. She was an impeccable beauty.

"Master!" She said while kneeling toward Saber. Seeing this, silence descended for a moment before Saber's master frowned.

"What is the meaning behind this?!" He beckoned for an answer as his aura slowly began to rise and killing intent began permeating the void.

"What do you mean master? All I did was give her a chance to acquire a new way of life. Now it seems that she's enjoying this life I've given her... She's enjoying it soo much that she even refers to me as her master..." Saber covered the wide grin on his face.

"You!" The ability to mentally control someone wasn't something hidden and mysterious so this was the only thing that came to the duo's master's mind. He couldn't understand how a junior brother could do this to his senior sister, especially one that dotes on him.

He carried around a title that represented him being the strongest inside the tower. For one of his disciples to be controlled by another was a deep disgrace to his prestige, especially in front of the several True Immortals and even the Tower Lord.

Staring down Saber to kill, he said. "You've sorely disappointed me. When I first saw you today, I still thought of helping in sorting out the misunderstanding between the Tower Lord and yourself... After all, how can a weakling like you gain his attention... But now, I shall personally end your life!"

Hearing this, Saber yawned. "Both of us know that you're too greedy to break past the True Immortal realm to bother sorting out any misunderstanding... Anyway, you aren't the face, nor the last to wish for me to die, so are you going to attack already?... You're making me sleepy."

Boom!

Saber's words landed as right after a booming explosion occurred. A fist landed on his chest, sinking into his flesh, before sending him flying backward. Coughing a mouthful of saliva that floated in the void Saber barely regained control of himself.

Urgh!

'W-What was that?!' Saber screamed in his mind. In the void, an arm floated. Looking toward his vampire 'master', this was when Saber realized that the man was missing an arm. It seemed that his arm had a mind of its own and detached itself from the shoulder and punched Saber...

"Oh, you survived that. It seems your durability is much higher than regular Prime Immortals." The vampiric progenitor proclaimed. His expression was one of amusement as his figure flashed. In an instant after speaking, Saber had lost sight of both his body and his detached arm.

Boom! Boom! Fwoosh!

Right after, Saber's left arm rose and blocked an incoming fist as his right arm parried another while his body dodged a powerful and swift quick that parted the void. Saber's body moved incredibly quickly as he made a distance between himself and the vampiric progenitor.

"How?!" The white-haired young man with the power of a True Immortal was shocked. "It should be impossible for a Prime Immortal even perceive my movements...?"

'Those attacks... If not for Instantaneous Reaction, I'd definitely be killed... And from what I've gathered, when he said suppressed, it most likely means that they weren't capable of using atomic or sage energy... He's attacking with only physical attacks.' Saber thought.

Turning his gaze toward Saber, the vampiric progenitor grinned. "Good good, killing you wouldn't be enjoyable because you were merely a Prime Immortal... But now it seems that things will truly be interesting... very interesting...!" He said.

Boom! Boom!

Once more, his figure disappeared. But, Saber had no time to react... His ability had become absolutely useless as the vampiric progenitor landed two punches on Saber's chest and face, obliterating it in an instant.

"Oh, already? Well, as True Immortals, even if it is simply physical power, we've already transcended time so I highly doubt you can react. When I move, my fists had already connected with your body."

Saying this, the vampiric progenitor turned his attention away. His left hand attached itself once more to his shoulder as his figure flashed and reappeared a distance away as he regrouped with the several other True Immortals.

Glancing at the Ruler of Hell's Tower, the vampiric progenitor stated. "Tower Lord, honestly, he could have been taken care of by any random Prime Immortal... But I'm not complaining since you did promise us that once we kill him, we can leave the tower."

But the reaction from the humanoid rabbit was beyond his expectation as he began to cackle as if hearing the funniest joke. Pointing toward Saber's corpse, he said... "I ordered you True Immortals to kill him."

Thrum!

The void vibrated as next to Saber's corpse, a dark light suddenly appeared and enveloped Saber as he seemingly melted into a dark liquid before being reformed. His hair was white and his body was tall as he shot open his eyes, revealing a pair of dark pupils in his white sclera.
