“What am I doing here?” A collective thought after reorienting themselves. Trees swayed around them and wild creatures chased at each other behind the bushes.
Stretching their sore muscles, they thought they overslept. Nyatalia offered to massage Larson’s back.
“Thank you for the kind gesture, but I’m fine.” He refused.
She squatted next to him. “How about you massage me instead?”
“Yeah… I gotta… sharpen my sword.” Larson got up, resting the weapon on his shoulder. “I can’t protect you if it’s dull.”
He went for the trees and grabbed some rocks, leaving Nyatalia in awe. Edwin dropped off his shoulder, shaking his head.
“What?” She raised an eyebrow at him.
He evaded her gaze. “Oh, nothing.”
Next to them, Merlize caressed her golden bow and quiver. She doted on them like children in their mother’s bosom. “I knew it was a dream! I thought I lost you forever.”
Edwin walked toward her. “How did it get into your hands?”
