For the next few weeks, Leila finds herself paranoid.
She hasn’t seen that man since that night in the library, but she can definitely feel his presence around her. Her exhaustion has been high over the last few weeks, but she also hasn’t told Ezra or Hayley about the encounter. Every night she dreams of him, and he makes threats to her.
Leila sits silently as she eats her sandwich with Ezra across from her reading a book. He asks calmly, “How did you do on the exam?”
She shoots him a glare and sets her meal down answering with a sigh at his chuckling, “I hope you mean the violin test because that one I think I did well on.”
He raises a brow. “Oh really? As I recall, you fell asleep during part of it.”
“But I finished on time, professor.” she teases him. He places a finger to her lips and utters, “Please, not that title.”
Leila blushes and retorts, “You started it.”
