A heavy sigh escapes Leila’s chest.
“What’s the matter, girly?” Hayley asks as they bathe in a large sauna together. Leila leans on her arms and states tiredly, “It’s been two weeks, and my progress with this whole light business is just going so slow.”
“I know what you mean. My training is also at a plateau. I don’t think Mamoru wants me to use a weapon. He refuses to teach me, always saying something about needing to be able to pin him first.”
Leila perks up in curiosity a sly grin crossing her face. “Mamoru, eh? Since when are you two on a first name basis?”
Hayley splashes water towards the woman and states, “It’s... complicated.”
Leila’s eyebrows raise, and she responds, “Oh? Care to share the details?”
Tears swell in the woman’s eyes, and Leila quickly approaches her side, giving her a gentle squeeze. “If you don’t want to talk about it...”
