Bonus chapter +1

When Ji-eun came back she started talking to Alex

Jungkook watched as they talked, feeling like an outsider. He couldn't help but wonder what could have been if things had been different.

As the night wore on, Jungkook found himself constantly glancing at Ji Eun. He couldn't help but feel drawn to her, even after all these years.

When it was time for him to leave, he walked up to Ji Eun and her boyfriend. "It was nice seeing you again," he said, his eyes locking onto Ji Eun's.

Ji Eun nodded, a sad smile on her face. "You too, Jungkook."

As he walked away, Jungkook couldn't help but feel like he had left something behind. He knew he had to let go of the past, but it was easier said than done.

Over the next few weeks, Jungkook found himself thinking about Ji Eun constantly. He tried to push her out of his mind, but it was like she had taken root there.

One day, as he was sitting in his hotel room, he made a decision. He couldn't keep living in the past. He had to move on.

He picked up his phone and dialed a number he never thought he would call again.

"Ji Eun, it's me. Jungkook," he said when she picked up.

There was a moment of silence on the other end, and then Ji Eun's voice came through. "Jungkook? Is everything okay?"

Jungkook took a deep breath. "No, not really. I just wanted to talk to you."

They talked for hours, catching up on everything that had happened since they last saw each other. It was like they had never been apart.

As the conversation drew to a close, Jungkook knew what he had to do. He couldn't keep his feelings for Ji Eun bottled up inside any longer.

"Ji Eun, there's something I need to tell you," he said, his heart pounding in his chest.

"What is it?" Ji Eun asked, her voice soft.

"I never stopped loving you," Jungkook said, the words tumbling out of his mouth before he could stop them.

There was a moment of silence on the other end, and Jungkook's heart sank. He had expected rejection, but he couldn't help.

Ji Eun couldn't believe what she was hearing. Her heart was racing and she felt like she was going to faint. She had never expected Jungkook to say something like that to her.

"I...I don't know what to say," she stammered.

"I'm sorry, Ji Eun," Jungkook said. "I didn't mean to make you feel uncomfortable. I just...I just wanted to let you know how I feel."

Ji Eun looked down at her hands, unsure of what to do. She had never been in this kind of situation before. She had always been the one in control, but now she felt like she was at Jungkook's mercy.

"I appreciate your honesty, Jungkook," she finally said. "But I don't know if I can give you what you want. I'm with someone else now, and I don't want to hurt him."

Jungkook looked down, disappointment etched on his face. "I understand," he said softly. "I just...I had to tell you how I feel. I've been holding it in for too long."

They sat in silence for a few moments, both lost in their own thoughts. Ji Eun felt a mix of emotions - guilt for hurting Jungkook, confusion about her own feelings, and a sense of longing for the past. She couldn't deny that a part of her still cared for Jungkook, but she didn't know if it was enough to leave her current relationship.

"I should probably go," Jungkook finally said, standing up from the bench. "I don't want to keep you from your boyfriend."

Ji Eun stood up as well, feeling a pang of sadness as she watched him walk away. She didn't know what the future held for them, but she knew that she would always care for Jungkook in some way.

As she watched him disappear into the crowd, Ji Eun couldn't help but wonder if she had made the right choice. She loved her boyfriend, but there was a part of her that still longed for the past and for the boy who had once been her best friend.
