Chapter 35 - a visit to Lixinni

Axena was led to her intended destination with the help of the map she traced from the prison walls into the street and then to lord Tortem's estate of forces. From the look of things and from the convincing security checks that were done two hundred metres away from the gate, she agreed within herself that the present place she was should be regarded as the fort and not lord Buten's place which had a countable number of guards.

As Axena proceeded towards the gate for the final check having passed the first two, she walked slowly among the people who had also come to be allowed into the estate of forces. Some of them had come for the assessment that would see them added to the force while many were there with unknown intent to Axena and she cared not.
