Chapter 6

Cassandra’s POV

Friday showed up, I got up from the bed and decided to wear a dress for the day, it had short sleeves it was tighter around the waist and came loose into an A shape towards my knees. Decided to wear a pair of short leggings underneath with my jean jacket and some black Vans. I packed my stuff and noticed the boys were still sleepy heads.

‘’ Come on guys we are going to be late for school.’’I yelled at them.’’I’ll prepare some coffee and you need to be ready by then.’’

‘’Can’t we just skip?’’ Malik cried from the couch.

‘’If you want to, be my guest. My mom is already pissed and I don’t feel like getting my dad angry. ‘’ I prepared coffee for everyone and told the boys I am bolting out the door in 5 min tops.

‘’Okay okay we are ready.’’ Will smiled as he hugged my from behind. ‘’ Let’s go.’’

Once we got to the school I noticed Irene getting out from the school bus, funny thing she also chose a dress for the day.

‘’Looks like brilliant mind think alike.’’ She chuckled.

‘’ Obviously.’’

Everything went smoothly for half of the day, I couldn’t wait any longer for this to be over so I could focus on what I really had on my mind.

‘’Miss Cromwell are you paying attention in this class?’’ our English teacher asked.

‘’I apologize.’’

‘’ Considering you have a project to finish by next week , you should take better note because you and mister Elordi will present first since you don’t seem so interested in the subject.’’ He turned from his desk and places a paper on my table. ‘’ Oh, and I need an extra essay about what we talked today in class by the end of the day also.’’

Uhhh I hate this teacher, how can I finish it in two hours with all those things going on my mind. We headed to lunch to chat and I started writing it, luckily Irene paid more attention and I was able to finish it in less than ten minutes. As we tried finishing our lunch I started hearing this whisper, it sounded like Faune’s name calling for me. Seconds later I grabbed onto my head barely hearing anything else.

‘’ Oh darling don’t be afraid, I’m not at your school, I am close though, I just started missing you girls soon I will get my hands on you two and it will be so much fun to torture you a little.’’ She laughed closing her connection to me. I gasped for air as I felt my head pounding so badly.

‘’ Cass are you okay?’’

‘’ I’m fine Irene we need to find a way to block Faune from our heads because she just linked herself to me and the pain is horrible.’’ I grunted as I tried to stop the shifting. Seconds later Will grabbed my arm and turned my face to look at him.

‘’Stay with me okay? Focus on your breathing, don’t let it happen we are in school still.’’ He whispered to me. I was finally able to release my anger. Irene passed some necklaces to each of us.

‘’ It won’t last forever but it will keep her away for a while. I created this potion last night and each of these has a drop in them, wear it until it turns from violet to blue. That is how long we can block her mind from ours and also she won’t be able to track our moves. ‘’

‘’We have a long weekend ahead of us and at the rate we are going the events seems to happen more and more.’’ We need to find a way to understand what I going on cause this is getting heavier and heavier to understand.

Me and Irene went o the bathroom and as we were looking in the mirrors I saw Paige come in.

“You know Cass , even though you put up that show I am still the pretty and popular one, you may think you won Will over but it’s just a charade. So have your life while it lasts cause I will be queen at this year’s prom and you will sit in the back watching me shine.’’ She scoffed. Listening to her made me laugh, does she think I care about all of this when I just found out who I am? Not to mention the crazy bitch witch and the dark wolf. ‘’ Don’t you dare laugh at me!’’she yelled.

‘’ I thought I made it clear last time, but you do you I guess it makes you feel happy, but your wasting your time on a person who doesn’t give a shit about who you are or what you have to say, so I will ask one more time kindly, leave me alone or you will see.”

“ You, threatening me? Oh we will see.’’ She scoffed walking out the door, but once she saw the boys waiting for us she tried flirting with Will.’’ Listen Will, prom is coming in 3 weeks and I believe we are going to be a perfect match so say yes to going to prom with me.’’ She batted her eyes.

‘’Actually Paige, I have to say no, I already have a date for prom.’’ He smiled pulling me to his side.’’ Cass already asked me.’’when did I ask him I wonder? I laughed knowing what he was doing, but all in all we are mates at the end of the day and no Paige or bimbo can break our bond.

She cried out walking away from our group. ‘’I still shall be queen!’’ she yelled.

I excused myself and went to our English teacher to pass him the essay. He had hoped that I didn’t finish because he already had a detention paper ready to sign with my name on it.

“Looks like this time you are free to go, watch out miss Cromwell I won’t go so easy on you next time.’’ I nodded and walked outside.

We all got home ready to relax for a while, Irene accompanied us and sat beside Jasper. I excused myself and went to pick my father’s book, but as I opened it a noticed a letter that was addressed to me, from someone called Bane.

‘’Dear Cassandra Cromwell,

You may not know me yet but since this letter has gotten into your hands I suppose that time will soon come and we shall meet for a chat that was long awaited for. I guess that by now you have gathered a series of questions that you don’t have answers to, and to some, I may give you what you are looking for. As of this moment things will complicate in your life, so the smartest thing to do is to choose wisely who you keep close and who will know the truth.

Don’t search for me as of yet, I will make way to you.

Who was this Bane? Was he part of my family? Was he against me? I brushed those thoughts away as I turned the pages to the book. At some point a couple of pages were glued onto the book so I stopped reading and ran to the boys.

‘’Guys you have to listen to this.’’I stated as I sat down to read.’’ It is said that far away from now, long after we would be buried in the ground, the royal blood shall rise again and no one will be able to stop it. It will take it’s place once more and wear the crown to rule above all. We shall know in the end if the royal blood will be good or evil. Which path with the chosen one take?’’ the phrased suddenly stops and continues down with red ink instead. ‘’ The prophecy says that it will be a young woman reborn from ashes who must make a choice by the end of it all, she will either bring us into the lest or make us burn for eternity.’’

Williams POV

As she kept reading I could see her hand clutching to the book with such anger. I know it made her worry but she has to stay calm. History can not repeat itself, plus from what I know she has no siblings at all and has no cousins or uncles. So the faith of us is truly in her hands, but since she is the good guy in this story how can she turn evil and burn us all?We will all be by her side and defend her from who ever tried to harm her.

‘’I believe it is time to take a small break. We should all go outside and train. Cass needs to learn how to fight, she will be a warrior.’’ They all nodded and went to change. Once in the garden I noted Cass was wearing those high waisted leggings with a crop top and by her side Irene was matching.

‘’ Enough chit chat ladies.Follow our lead.’’ Concluded Jasper.

We started with the basics, both girl need to know how to fight in human form, and for Cass also in wolf form. Irene needs to learn to cast spells better so it will protect us from them. Many hours passed by and we were all getting tired. I decided to have one more fight. This time it would be me and Cass since we are bonded we need to learn to put aside fear and emotions and if needed to protect ourselves until the end. She needs to be our leader and she won’t need me to be her guardian she will be the strongest royal this world has ever seen. I nodded and took my position, we both shifted into our wolves and started the fight. She had a playful approach and it was fun watching her trie to take me down, but as I thought I won the battle, with one swift move she turned and captured me into her grasp. I wagged my tail in surrender.

‘’Well that was fun.’’she laughed as she shifted back into a human.’’ I can get used to winning all those fights.’’

‘’Oh, I am definitely calling a rematch tomorrow.’’

We all got back into the house and prepared dinner, everything was falling into place somehow, we were figuring out our next moves and learning how to fight and protect one another. It was nice to see our pack grew, and even tough I am the alpha I have no problem letting everyone give their opinion and work together as one.
