For a moment, I was so caught up in the fact that Caleb and I somehow managed to get Lila out of the main room that I forgot the fact that Finn and I hadn’t spoken since our fight. We hadn’t even texted. I’d been waiting for him to reach out to me, since he was the one who had shut the conversation down, but it hadn’t happened yet. 


I suddenly felt uncomfortable as Finn and Heather approached the counter. I couldn’t tell Heather that Finn and I were fighting, or else she’d want to know every detail, and I wanted nothing less than to have to lie to her again. And even if I wanted to come clean about everything, I wouldn’t do it here. Which meant that we had to pretend like nothing happened. 


So I put a smile on my face. “Hey guys, what’s up?”
