Chapter 1.1: How did we get here?

The world's strongest hunter was currently lounging on a comfortable chair with several high quality cameras flashing at him and recording every movement.

He tries to remember how he got here. Sung Jin-Ah, his annoying and cute sister was watching a interview of some celebrity with his family, he recalls Beru and his husband talking about him, Sou-Hyeok Mun his name was!

It was late at night and the Sung family was watcing televison together, or atleast trying to.

Park Kyung-Hye, his mother was already fast asleep in her room. Jin-Ah and Jin-Woo's husband were eating popcorm and bickering at each other.

The highschool student whips her head around as though she has the smartest idea. 'Not good', Sung Jin-Woo thinks. Jin-Ah opens her mouth, "Oppa! You should be doing interviews too! At least have the public hear more about you! You're so closed off y'know!", she says looking at her older brother dissapointedly before hissing at his dear husband, Jum Kyubok, when he switches the interview to another show and starts laughing at her.

He feels his shadows listening in on the conversations when the prickling of various murmurs behind his mind starts to appear.

"My liege! My lady presents some fine points, if this lowly one would be given permission to speak freely. . ." Beru starts as though he was about to make a sermon.

'Who taught him how to speak like that' Sung Jin-Woo questions, 'It must have been those Koreon dramas that he was watching with Jin-Ah'. "Go ahead", Sung Jin-Woo agrees.

Beru continues, "My liege, these mortals do not know your true power as of now, you must show them that you are above them", Beru contines, "My liege should talk to his people as that would give you more loyal followers of your kingdom, oh my king!".

Kyubok, who looked ready to burst into laughter at any moment nodded along enthusiastically, 'this bastard!', "Oh yes my liege! Beru is very right my liege! Your followers need you my liege!"

It makes Sung Jin-Woo wonder why they got married before he stops that thought as he already knows. Kyubok, his given name means 'One who is blessed by god' and Jum his surname means 'King or Ruler' and he just had to marry someone like that. And also Kyu had given him some good benefits as well, plus he bought him ice-cream daily so it wasn't a bad outcome. Oh and he was really hot too. He once lost in a spar against him. He literally controls the underworld as well. . .

Okay maybe Jin-Woo was 'a little' whipped for him and probably really in love with him but that doesn't matter. He snuggles into Kyu's chest more before nodding at Beru and Jin-Ah as though agreeing.

"Don't forget to feed Chul-Seung beforge he goes to bed", Jin-Woo, as always is worried for his sons's health. He was adopted by both parents when he was just a yound infant and is now 5 years old. Sung Jin-Woo was 23 when he first saw him and Kyubok Jum was 26. They had already been dating for awhile now and were planning on starting a family as well. He thinks back to the time when naming his son was the hardest part.

It had taken a total of 3 days, lots of screaming (why would you name your child after a weapon!?!) arguing, and a few sheds of tears before they settled with one. He remembers Kyu's men that were in his inner circle in a meeting room discussing baby names. It would have been hilarious to see literal wanted criminals who commit crimes on a day-to-day bases picking out names if not for the fact that Kyu had threatened them all with having to work overtime if they could not find a suitable name for his 'darling child' that would make his 'gorgeous, hot, beautiful husband' happy and allow him to leave the couch and sleep in his bed again.

They decided that their boss's husbands shadows would play 'rock-paper-scissors' and the winner would have their name. Surprisinly, Iron had won. It was disastorous. Beru had been distraught and wailing. Igris would never admit it but they were jelous and ready to commit a massacre. Iron was bragging and making fun of everyone. Bellion was tired. Kaisen wanted cuddles. Tusk who was usually shy was baring his teeth at Iron and ready to fight. All the A and S-rank gates in Korea were booked for the shadows to take their anger out. It truly was a sight to behold.

The second part was the trickiest. After Chul what would be added? Because apparently their scary boss wanted it to be the best name ever and they couldn't have his child only be with just one name. And so on the second day there had been about 300 names that were chosen as options. 3 hours later around 250 and at 3 am in the morning 31 names had been left.

The boss had been merciful and allowed to rest as the two new parents chose from those 31 names. ("We are not naming our child after an ice-cream flavour darling!")

The third day and it had finally been over. The name would be Seung, which would mean 'victory or excel' or 'rise, ascent'. It really was a great name and Gi Sang, the one who chose it was given 3 days off. Whispers followed him in the coming days with high praises and thanks.

This was the start of Jum Chul-Seung's new life.
