Chapter 2.2: The interview

The cameras glared in his vision once more before Jin-Woo looked at the interviewer with a smile on his face. A man in his mid thirties, his name Sokuda Kurumi ("Call me Kurumi, hunter Sung) was given the task to ask the questions. When he asked the chairman, all he got in response was that he had a 'good reputation' and 'good character'.

Kurumi sat down on the red seat, sitting in front of Sung Jin-Woo. They talked for a few minutes before it was finally time to start the broadcast.

The introductions had started and Sung Jin-Woo had looked at Kurumi with such awe (how could he talk to so many people with so much enthusiasm!?!)

Giving a small smile at the camera Jin-Woo started his "Hello" bowing his head a little, "I am Hunter Sung Jin-Woo, it's a pleasure to be here today!"

The cameras started flashing rapidly once more, which almost (almost) took him by surprise.

Kurumi started to talk as the viewer ratings on the show went higher and higher.

"We are so very pleased to have the rising hunter who saved our country, Sung Jin-Woo, here with us today!"

Sung Jin-Woo laughed softly, "No need to flatter me Kurumi, I did what anyone would have done if they were in my place"

The conversation had started to flow from there with light talk and some jokes added here and there,

The interviewer smiled before starting his next questions, "So, I have been thinking about this and though this isn't part of the questions, we all know how you enjoy eating ice-cream," he started, "Now I don't mean to pry but did you buy that ice cream store a few hours ago as it's under your name"

The camera is pointed towards Sung Jin-Woo who had sighed with his hand against his head, letting out a small laugh.

"Yes actually, it was for my son who wanted to eat ice cream from there and wanted an ice-cream store. I blame myself for his love for ice-cream if I'm being honest."

Kurumi looks as though he's choking on something sour, "Uhm, Hunter Sung, I hope my ears aren't failing me at this moment, but did you just say son?"

"Oh," as if realizing he let that slip, "yeah I did, my son who I won't be giving out a name at the moment as he's still a minor."

"I-I see?" He sounds confused and out of character.

"I was so proud of him when he was able to summon a shadow y'know! At his age, even I wasn't able to do that" Jin-Woo says it so calmly with an air of pride surrounding him.

"Uhm, well I'd love to ask more about that but I know we can all agtree that somethings need to be private and we should all abide by that..."

"So Hunter-san, you are still very young", Kurumi starts with a small smile and look of amusement on his face, "You're fangirls will eat me alive if I don't ask you this but do you have any thoughts on marriage or in a relationship with a pretty lady at the moment?" Kurumi asked with an air of teasing and a weary look on his face.

"Yeah actually! My boyfriend and I are planning on making it official in a few months". Jin-Woo replies as though this is something completely normal and shouldn't be that important. He says it with a smile as well.

In the background of the broadcast you can hear gasps of shock, things being dropped and murmurs starting.

"O-oh?" Kurumi clears his throat and looks around nervously.

"Can we get a name for your husband?" He sounds pleading, looks at the camera with wide eyes and a very curious look painted on his face.

"Sure, Kyubok Jum, you've probably heard of him but he's right over there as well" Sung Jin-Woo says pointing at the corner where the famous mafia boss was leaning against the wall with a cool look on his face.

Sung Jin-Woo waves at him with a smile brighter than any of the ones he gave to the camera, "Kyu!!"

All they see is the elusive, mysterious mafioso giving him a look full of affection and shooting him a small smile.

The noise in the background had reached new levels and a shockingly fast rate as well.

The live broadcast slowly comes to an end with so many more questions needing to be answered and a whole new perspective on Sung Jin-Woo.
