19: Real Reason

“You seem so happy.”

I turned my head to the owner of that familiar voice. The crack in my heart slowly got bigger, creating a hollow.

“Key,”

Her name slipping off my mouth feels like old music that I used to sing and listen to for the thousandth time.

I sighed.

“I’m sorry, because of my stupidity you got mad. I understand your point. I never thought that if I took back your necklace or if I didn't wait for you, it would make you rage.” I forced a smile as I looked at her. “I don’t wanna ruin our friendship.”

“Why didn’t you show up at our abode?”

“We need to cool down. We're both like a bomb when mad that can explode when we collide.” I shrugged my shoulders. “So, b-f-f again?”

She smiles and, in an instant, our bodies collide. “There’s no 'again', D-T. We’re still best friends, dangsineun babo.”

I wrapped my arm around her back. “Do you have to rub it off?” I joked when we both withdrew from each other’s hugs.
