Maya knew the frustration felt by Kris. But Maya knows that continuing the case will only endanger the position of Kris and his colleagues. They were just an honest police officer who had no support from any big family. If someone like his grandfather wanted them to disappear from the face of the earth, doing so would be like swatting a mosquito to him.

With Evan recovering, Maya believes her husband's strength will grow rapidly from now on. But dragging Evan back into the fight just to punish a man who nearly died like her grandfather was a complete waste of time.
