Family?

The folder dropped from her hand and she took a step, clenching tightly to Devian's shirt to support herself.

Two crystal clear drops of tears fell from her eyes. She was shattered.

"It's all right. I'm here. We'll find them together, okay?" Devian stroke her back.

"But how will we find dead people? My family died in a fire? I'm ... I can't .... I can't believe this." She was holding onto him tightly as if he was her only support. Her voice sounded so pitiful.

He held her tightly. "They aren't dead." He said, his voice was gentle than ever before. "We'll find them together."

He picked her and put her back on the bed

"Sleep well. We'll go find them tomorrow okay?" Devian pulled the quilt to cover her and turned to leave.

"Don't leave." Arien held his arm.

"Okay. I'll not leave." Devian assured her.

He stayed there while she slept holding onto his arm tightly.

She even had nightmares she used to have when she was brought by Devian to his house first.
