MINTY-STRAWBERRY

UPON ARRIVING at Quantum Leap, Cadmus immediately parked his car in the parking space that was reserved for him before quickly descending and entering the bar. There aren't many cars outside yet so the parking area is still spacious.

Quantum Leap is a well-known and exclusive bar located at the mouth of the Black Forest Territory. Those who are not registered members of Quantum Leap were not allowed to go inside the bar. There are certain methods and standards to be able to get a membership card in Quantum Leap. And all of its clients are high-profiled people in the society that's why Cadmus always makes sure that the service in his bar is good. His employees are all well-trained and so far, he hasn't heard any bad complaints yet.

Quantum Leap is far from its former look. When Cadmus took over the management of the when it was about to close. He did his best to rebuild Quantum Leap and made it out of the well-known luxury bar in the Black Forest and to its nearby territory.

Upon entering, Cadmus was immediately greeted by the bartender who was at the bar counter and busy arranging the glasses. He tilted his head slightly in respect to Cadmus to which the latter only replied with a soft nod.

"When Alpha Sev arrives with the others, call me. I'll be at my office." He ordered one of the staff before finally stepping up to the second floor of Quantum Leap where the VIP rooms and his office are located.

VIP rooms were designed for those who want private moments or sometimes, business meetings with pleasure. Inside the VIP rooms are round lounges and a minibar to avoid the customers from going out of the room just to have their orders. There are also two assigned persons to assist them. The bartender, and the waitress. The VIP room is sound-proof so nobody can't hear the noise that was coming from outside and vice versa.

Cadmus immediately checked the pile of papers that was on the top of his table as he sat on his swivel chair. Minutes had already passed and he was already all focused on what he was reading when the soft knocks caught his attention.

"Come in!" He ordered as he remained bent over and his eyes were focused on the papers he was reading.

"Sorry for disturbing you, Alpha, but I brought you something to drink." the woman announced after entering while holding the tray with a glass of ice and wine in her ger hands.

Cadmus raised his head to look at the newly hired Quantum Leap staff. As his eyes darted to the woman that was standing a meter away from him, a small smile made its way to the corner of his lips. It was his favorite drink — scotch on the rock.

"Thank you!" he mumbled as he sniffed a little more air and closed his eyes for a moment when the fragrant aroma of alcohol filled his nose.

"You're welcome, Alpha!" She replied before finally saying goodbye and turning around to leave his office.

Cadmus resumed reading the papers that he was holding when he heard a series of knocks again after a while.

"Come in..."

The door opened and from there, the waiter came out with his head slightly bowed. Cadmus frowned when he noticed the man's appearance. He seemed afraid and uncomfortable. His hand was steady on his nape as he bow his head down.

"Look at me before you open your mouth to speak," he ordered seriously. "Now, talk!" He added as his forehead was still slightly furrowed.

"Alpha Sev has arrived with the others and is looking for you, Alpha Cad."

"Okay." he answered while softly nodding." Tell them to wait for me. I'll be there in a minute." He added before turning his attention back to what he was reading.

He was about to finish reading them because those were important papers he had to read before signing so he decided to put them aside first and take them home later.

Cadmus first arranged the scattered papers on his desk and turned off the computer before he finally stepped out of his office.

Just as he was coming down the stairs, Cadmus immediately saw his son of mutt friends sitting in the twelve sitter circular lounge. Chann who was facing the staircase was the first to notice him.

"Hey!" He greeted them when he finally got down before sitting down next to Riva.

"Hey, man!" Rio and Tyler greeted in unison. Rio is Seventh's beta while the latter is Riva's.

Cadmus nodded before turning to Sun who was smiling at him.

Cadmus' brows furrowed. "What ?!" He hissed.

Up to this day, he is still annoyed with the leader of Madwolves Territory who abducted Cristina then.

Who wouldn't be angry with the man who caused so much trouble to them back then? But it was all in the past and Sun already proved himself to them. They all have to leave those hardships away, the pain and the hate and let it be bygone. Just leave it behind and start again.

A smile cracked at the corner of his lips with the thoughts.

Hell, yeah! Leave everything behind and let it be bygone yet the memories of the past kept haunting him for years. It seems like it was just yesterday. He just pretended that he's already over that stupid one-night mistake but damn it! Who is he fooling here? He knew exactly that at the deepest corner of his mind nor his heart, he was still dreaming about seeing her again.

Cadmus stopped in his thought when he suddenly smelled a familiar smell that had mixed inside the Quantum Leap. He sniffed in the air and as the familiar scent lingered to his nose straight to his nostrils, Cadmus clinched his hands out of excitement. How can he ever forget that minty strawberry scent that haunted him almost every night?

Cadmus simply roamed his eyes inside the bar and stopped when he saw someone so familiar. Just a few meters away from where he's sitting, a woman was standing wearing her elegant purple dress. She had just entered with two women, if he was not mistaken, one of them was Seventh's niece, Dev.

'Damn you, woman but you can no longer run away from me now that I already found you after years of searching. You are mine and I will make you mine!'
