Baby?

"HEY, MAN," Cadmus heard Seventh call to him which brought him back to the present.

"You're spacing out. Are you with us?" He queered accompanied with a teasing voice.

Cadmus blinked twice as reluctantly looked back at the woman who was currently sitting with them. Damn but this is torture!

"I'm sorry," he murmured as he secretly glanced again at the woman who was also looking at him. "What was that again?" he asked as he turned his attention to the Alpha of Seventh Stone.

Shit, but how the hell could he ever forget that beautiful face that haunted him for years? He just couldn't believe what he was seeing right at this moment. Is he seeing her for real or this is just another part of his dream ... again?

"Man, stop throwing her those wild gazes. Why don't you talk to her if you like her?" Sun whispered to him who was sitting next to him.

Cadmus hissed and glanced at him annoyingly. "Shut the hell up!" He growled on Sun who just laughed.

Seventh's niece, Dev, and the other one is Nirel, Seventh Stone's tracker's daughter and the two are with the woman who is just sitting quietly next to her friends. He just can't take his eyes away from her. Cadmus couldn't help but swallow when he looked at the woman's lips while she was talking to Dev and Nirel.

He suddenly felt uncomfortable especially when he looked at the cup that she was holding. His eyes were fixed on it when the woman slowly lifted it and the lip of the cup landed on her mouth. Cadmus almost sneered loudly. Damn it! He's going crazy. If only he could be that lucky wine glass.

"Dude, you're being obvious ..." Sun whispered to him again.

Cadmus didn't say a word, although his jaw moved slightly. Real shit! His member is reacting wildly down there.

"Dev," Seventh called his niece who immediately turned her attention to him. "Care to introduce her to us?" he asked with a slight smile curved on his lips before he simply glanced at Cadmus who immediately looked at Dev.

"Oh, sorry, Uncle, I forgot my mannners," Dev apologized as she nod twice. "This is my friend, Calla Spear."

Cadmus was stunned to hear the name mentioned by Dev. His forehead furrowed. Spear? How is she related to the late Amado Spear?

"Spear?" Channing's whispered as he furrowed. There was a hint of confusion in his eyes.

Just like Cadmus, his friends were all frowning too. Curiosity filled their eyes.

"Yeah. She's from Crimson Summit Territory. She bought a property, four hours drive away from here and she's staying there now." Nirel explained as she glanced at Cadmus for a moment before smiling sparingly.

"Oh, don't tell me, you're the owner of the property on the border of my territory, Calla?" Seventh asked in surprise.

Calla nodded slightly. "Yes, Alpha Sev."

"I see." Seventh nodded before he glanced at Cadmus who was silently staring straight at the beer bottle he was holding. “By the way, this is Sun, and that’s Channum. And of course, this man beside me here is Cadmus Hunt." Seventh introduced his friends to Calla who was suddenly shocked when she heard Cadmus' name.

"Cadmus Hunt?" Calla repeated slightly with an obvious trembling in her voice. Her eyes also clouded as she stared at the leader of the Black Forest.

Cadmus furrowed as he heard her mention his name again. He also suddenly sat up. Does the woman remember him? When their gazes met, he did not see any recognition in her eyes. She just glanced at him blankly like they never met before and before she focused on her friends again.

"You know me?" Cadmus asked as the anticipation suddenly filled his heart. He even stared at Calla intently who picked up the glass as she stared at him.

"No..." She mumbled in a low and steady tone.

Cadmus was stunned and stared at the woman even more. He was able to look at it when she suddenly stood up.

"Hey, are you okay?" Nirel asked worriedly.

Calla smiled and shrugged her shoulders. "Yeah..." She answered while holding the edge of the table. "I just need to breathe. It's kinda suffocating here. Excuse me!" she added before picking up the handbag she was carrying and stepping away.

"You know her, right?" Seventh asked Cadmus and just like the leader of the Black Forest, his eyes also followed Calla who was walking out of the Quantum Leap.

"Shut up!" He hissed. Eyes still focused at the woman who's now capturing every man's eyes in Quantum Leap.

Fuck these sons of a shit, chauvinist wolves!

"You are desiring her." Sun was teased that get a scary look from Cadmus.

"Go to hell!" He sneered before looking to Calla who had come out of the glass door of Quantum Leap. Her every step is so gentle that it seems like she doesn’t care about the surroundings. She walked like she was a queen of the world. Well-poised and full of confidence.

Damn, but does she even have any idea how the hell she made those fuckin' mutts turn their heads and followed her moves with drooling stares that made him mad like an idiot? Jeez! He wanted to pull their eyeballs out of their sockets.

'Fuck!' Cadmus cursed at the back of his head. He picked up the beer bottle again while his eyes were still staring at the door that Calla had left.

'Shit!'

He stoop up as another curse went out his lips. He wanted to go out and follow her!

His steps were fast as Cadmus walked out of the Quantum Leap. And, when he finally got out, he immediately turned his eyes around to look for Calla. He sniffed in the air to track her scent and a devilish smile cracked on the corner of his lips as her familiar smell linger on his sensitive nose.

There she is, leaning her back on his car!

Cadmus took his steps towards Calla only to get stuck in his tracks when he heard her talking to someone on the phone.

"I miss you too, baby."

Cadmus' hand automatically fisted as he heard those sweet yet irritating words from the woman whom he's been longing for years. His breathing became heavy. He snarled a little which made Calla turn her back and looked at him. And, as their eyes met, Cadmus could barely see the hatred in Calla's eyes.

Or maybe, he was just imagining things out. Why would she hate him when it seems like she doesn't remember her anyway.
