Miracle Gamer of Taboo Fate

They said that life was a game, so it was only natural Adam created his 'path' as that of a gamer.

The new system of his fate reflected this…

This was his greatest creation. The Skill that would define him as a person, and his greatest asset.

[Ultimate Skill: Miracle Gamer of Taboo Fate]

The interface around him changed dramatically once physical traits and Skills were reinterpreted.

His stats had vanished, but they were replaced by a green health point bar and blue magic point bar.

The latter wasn't filled, and only had '0' for now…

Perhaps it was because of the remnant killing intent from earlier, but he felt this suited him.

Some might say that becoming a 'Miracle Gamer' meant becoming an entity that knew slaughter.

After all, one popular trend among games was adding an RPG system where killing enemies earned experience. It meant that game avatars were practically destined to kill at one point.

Regardless, such things didn't matter to him.

He looked at his new stats…

The Combat Prowess went under the stats, which was displayed as a graph. A new one popped up.

'Growth Characteristics' and 'Imaginary Attributes' had been dropped, which had a certain purpose.

Adam had been unable to truly take advantage of a system that wanted him to understand his Imaginary Spirits and how they related to him, but now the criteria for growth had been altered a lot.

Although his Gifts didn't display on the screen, he felt new Skills could be created through their use.

There was only one thing…

He was a little disappointed that 'Pain Nullification (Special)' couldn't be moved or altered in any way.

It seemed this Intrinsic Skill was a part of his soul that could not be changed no matter how he tried.

Well, it was a convenient Skill to have anyway.

Especially so since 'Evolutionary Expansion' had an Extra Skill was born after adding 'Cleaning' into it.

[Extra Skill: Cleansed Gamer Body Physiology]

Perhaps due to taking in a lot of factors, he wasn't just purified of all negative ailments… but he even had the ability to clear out negative effects of all things learnt. It made 'Qi Deviation' harder to get.

Even if he was to learn two opposing skills… such as the 'Supreme Sky Black Body Combustion' Breath Circulation and 'Star Marked Heaven Extremity' Breath Circulation, he wouldn't die.

In fact, fusing them two together was what created the mostly unstable 'Geisha Hell Gamer Mentality'.

His plans had adapted…

After washing away the grime and impurities left on his body, he went to sit on the bed just outside the shower. Hephaestus Terran had given him a good room… to get ready for the spar that'd come later.

Adam wiped his hair with a towel and came out feeling nothing. Not even the coldness of the air.

His gamer physiology made him immune to weak status debuffs like catching a cold or getting sick.

Only poisons and magics would work on him now.

In fact, even cuts were something that would only lower his health points rather than appear on him.

He had truly become a 'game avatar'.

'How fitting…' After learning of how he'd been played around with by Gaia, he snorted inwardly.

So he was just an avatar to her?

He was expectant to see how she'd react after seeing he personally cut their connection this time.

Even though his junk was hanging out and there were clothes in the drawer, Adam didn't feel the need to get ready just yet. There were some things he needed to sort out besides his new Skill menu.

Adam got off the room's bed and went towards a table at the side, then moved it to an open space.

He sat frown in front of the small table.

His legs crossed while reaching inside the part of his inventory for 'Equips' that appeared at the side.

1, 2, 3, 4…

A multitude of new weapons had been made, but they were no longer that of an old medieval style.

The first thing he noticed was the 'Adomanthea Mask'. A weapon that was only here for decoration.

Maybe he'd try out its function one day, but right now it only existed as something to hide his face and maybe guard his head. In fact, maybe having something to protect his identity wasn't that bad.

The second was two 'Divine Tools' he made.

After Solaris and Lumina left, he needed something to take the space that was left in his Gift Slots.

Which is why he chose to create firearms instead.

The first was a yellowish white revolver that had a blade for a barrel, with a thin opening at the point.

Most gunblades he'd imagined were all created to be both a 'gun' and 'blade', but he didn't do that.

The barrel of the gun wasn't the only alteration.

Although he added a revolving cylinder magazine like that of Taurus 454 Raging Bull Casull, but the ammo wasn't 'bullets'. He had altered the schematics to make it shoot disk-like projectiles.

This had to do with the materials he worked with.

The only way to incorporate 'Slash Sharpening' and 'Sword Talent' from the White Sword material added was to make it sharp… literally. The barrel was also made to be detachable and changeable.

This was similar to the Thompson/Centre Contender in a way. There was even a space for the disk to load into before each shot, which he could use to manage the strength of the output.

That way, he could choose between heavy or light shots depending on what the situation called for.

A minimum of 42 disk shot capacity appeared when he equipped it, but the firearm was empty.

He'd yet to come around to creating the bullets…

Rather than feeling bad over such a trifling thing, a glow appeared in his eyes while swinging it around.

The imbalanced heaviness of the attached barrel blade was similar to handling the Solaris Sword.

He called this his 'Sword Disk Casull Contender'.

It was a good start…

Moving on, Adam looked at the weapon he'd forged for his 'Empty' Gift. An automatic firearm.

Rather than holding it upright, the extended magazine of the glock pointed upwards. As he'd made that end his 'Wand'. The short barrel of the gun would presumably give weak blowback effect.

This would help him maintain posture.

Glock's were already the most reliable handguns to have. Even the Desert Eagle had a heavier recoil.

Putting in the magazine extension and automatic functionalities of Uzi sub-machine gun was the finishing touch. This allowed him to shoot at least 32 rounds within a minute without reloading.

He called this his 'Glacier Glock Uzi Wand'.

Or 'Mk1 GGUW' for short. Just like the 'Mk1 SDCC' besides it. Guns tended to have such names.

Unlike the showy names of majestic blades…

'Blades…' There was an ache in Adam's heart.

Of course, such a high firing rate would rate be used. The small barrel could only be so durable.

Moreover, both his 'Glacier Glock Uzi Wand' and 'Sword Disk Casull Contender' were destined to have magical bullets. That way, he didn't have to change the ammo magazines in an intense fight.

Especially the 'Mk1 GGUW'.

Even with his pinkie, the miracle gamer felt the hot weapon would keep balanced if held it incorrectly.

Which would allow him to cast magic as well…

But that was only a theory yet to be proven.

It was obvious from the way these guns were built that they weren't capable of being dual-wielded.

The reason they were like this was simple.

He just wanted to diverge from Solaris and Lumina.

This was the only thought running through his mind like an obsession. A seed planted into his heart.

"You won't leave me, right…?" Adam spoke while picking up the guns, only to chuckle at himself.

'What am I saying?' He thought. Unlike his earlier sentient weapons, they were truly just firearms.

So who was he expecting a reply from?

'Yeah, maybe this is better.' Compared to living weapons, cold and lifeless was way better.

He held two 'toys' to his face and felt relaxed when feeling them on his cheeks. It was a weird scene.

Only Adam found himself to be 'stable' right now…

"Honestly, I treated them closer than my family on Earth- No, they WERE closer than mere blood relatives, weren't they?" He looked at the mask placed in down in front of it. The face looked back.

That smiling mask didn't change a shade…

However, he felt like it was still laughing at him like usual… or was this his imagination tricking him?

'Whatever. Imaginary Spirits are real anyway.' When he thought like this, Adam knew he wasn't crazy.

If spirits based on one's imagination were real, then it meant anything that was imaginary was real…

…right?

This twisted interpretation sank into his mind. His thoughts were right, but they were off a little.

"They're traitors, aren't they? How could they leave me? What did I do wrong? No, maybe THEY were crazy. It's that… yeah… Or maybe they got cold feet all of a sudden. Cowards… The lot of them." Adam's breathing was still fine, but his eyes held a storm.

A cool head mixed with a fiery heart of passion.

Adam took a deep breath before putting his primary weapons down. They were too good.

Much better than he deserved…

Still, there was some extra weapons he made for until he got used to the way the guns worked.

The two demonic sheaths Solaris and Lumina had left with him were turned into four attachments.

These parts also being their own side-arms.

The first was a laser scope. One that could turn into a light sabre once 'unfolded' via magic.

A function he couldn't bring out yet without first generation some Mana. The first task on his list.

The second was a sniper scope. The translucent glass of it could resize itself into a riot shield.

The third was an ember red grip that could form a knife blade on top. Initially for stabilising a firearm.

And the last was a suppressor that could 'unfold' into a baton. One of the arms used in the military.

Since having no Mana became a problem, he decided to fix that critical problem right away.

Going back to the bed, he put the covers over himself and got into a comfortable position,

Stabilising his breathing pattern…

He couldn't use 'Geisha Hell Gamer Mentality' due to how unstable it was, but he had another option.

After all, one of the primary ingredients he used to create Evolutionary Expansion was… 'Mana Sense'.

With it, Adam created a body that expanded its potential and evolved with its magic sensitivity.

There was also a second function he'd built in by adding the 'Cooking (Common)' Personal Skill.

[Extra Skill: Internal Alchemy]

Using his Life Force as a bowl, the miracle gamer used his vitality to alchemise through purest of Mana. The endless Light Mana and Dark Mana from his two Gifts were washed by his vital energy.

Doing so created an unexpected result…

[You have attained 'Pure Mana'. It is possible to manifest energy like Internal Qi within the body.]

[You can apply Attributes to Pure Mana abilities.]

[Your Magic Tier has risen to 'F'.]

Adam smiled. Things were going well. The only gripe he had was that this was his absolute limit.

Unless he started using his 'Geisha Hell Gamer Mentality', his powers would remain the same.

But this much was all he needed to experiment.

[You have attained the 'Mana Emission' (Common) Personal Skill. You can now externalise your Mana.]

A cyan white flame of energy arose on his palm.

He moved it around leisurely using his mind, then congealed the energy before shouting it at a wall.

[You have attained the 'Magic Ball' attack magic. It is shall be recorded in a shortcut in Personal Skills.]

After trying out a few new experiments, he went to go spar with Hephaestus Terran at a nice pace.

Both of them interested in the other's abilities.

The divine blacksmith lead him deeper into the cave… that was also his inter-dimensional forge.

Where an empty space was.

In his hand appeared a normal-looking axe.

There was seemingly no extra functionalities to it or properties. It was just a rusty old axe he liked.

"Don't you have anything else?" The miracle gamer thought Hephaestus Terran was messing with him.

"You're trying to get better to beat someone who uses one weapon. So no… this is enough for me."

"Fine… It'll be your funeral." Adam locked and loaded his Sword Disk Casull Contender harshly.

His Mana flowed through it.

And one more act was done to change the way he established his Battle Zone. The system altered…

[Genre Switch- FPS (First Person Shooter)]

The miracle gamer felt his perspective and movement pattern change with the genre tag.

A dot aligned to headshot his opponent.
