Naturally it is Serpentine Samuel.
Samuel didn't call Caterpillar Samuel over, because he surprisingly found an opportunity of his own. The information dealer not only knew the location of a plane, but also a large Mythril Mine on the Eternal Battlefield.
Such a mine could bring a lot of resources for equipment, so Caterpillar Samuel immediately mobilised all of his statue warriors to go and occupy it.
Mines are often occupied by ore creatures. These are creatures that condense after spiritual energy seeps into the ores in the mine. However for Caterpillar Samuel there shouldn't be much of an issue.
The main focus was on this plane battle. Samuel is confident that if he can occupy this plane, the amount of resources would be incredible.
According to the information dealer, he scouted out the Plane personally, and found there are at least three large iron mines producing close to five thousand tons of iron each year.
That's fifteen thousand tons just from those mines!
Not to mention the Spiritual Crystals that they own. They are the true valuables.
Right now Samuel desperately needs to summon more 2 Inch Spiritual Root Dogs of War. Or even three inch spiritual roots.
But it needs a shocking 100,000 Spiritual crystals for a three inch spiritual root.
Although he has summoned 2 Inch Dogs of War before, only one child has been born with a two inch Spiritual Root.
The chances of the children having a high talent is incredibly low.So Samuel needs to make up for it with numbers.
But at the same time, the benefits brought by a single Rank 3 Warrior might not be as much as the benefits brought by a hundred Rank 2 Warriors.
After all, before the scourge happens, Samuel will definitely break through to Rank 3, the same with his clones. And his daughter Lily could as well.
And if Samuel breaks through then so do EG1 and EG2 so one mediocre Rank 3 Warrior won't bring too many benefits right now.
Especially since the length of practice is still quite long. For a regular 3 Inch Warrior to reach Rank 3, fifty years is a conservative estimate.
But any decisions would depend on how much Samuel ends up earning from the invasion.
''Let's move!'' Serpentine Samuel led the charge today. With Samuel and his Eternal guards taking up the rear.
The ground started to shake as the warriors moved uniformly. Their training kicked in as they began to divide themselves into their squads before they arrived at the Planes portal.
Samuel had to admire how much has changed since the last time he saw the legions. Not only in the number but also in the training.
But the main thing that bummed him out was that he hasn't got any special formations yet. They still only learn basic military ones which can be easily accessed.
Quickly the legions entered the glow red portal. Serpentine Samuel led the way ensuring that there was no trap on the other side.
And as expected, there wasn't. Instead it was a giant grassy plane. But you could see hundreds of figures standing in the distance, all wearing mismatched armour and holding strong weapons.
''As expected of the natives, they already knew we were coming.'' Samuel saw them waiting but he didn't worry.
The warriors on the other side only added up to three thousand right now. But they stood on a giant stone wall built around the perimeter of the portal.
''Pull out your bows! Fire at will!'' Serpentine Samuel stood in front of the army and lifted a sword.
When he swung it down thousands of arrows flew out from the legions behind him.
The opposite human warriors panicked when they saw the arrows. Clearly they weren't a trained force.
Some lifted shields, some blocked with the swords. But many were successfully pierced through with the arrows.
But they weren't slow in revenge. Samuel saw a blue armoured general stand in front of the disorderly force and raise his sword.
The only difference is, Samuels dogs of war all had uniform bows and arrows depending on their legion, whereas the mismatched warriors used whatever they could throw.
But the heavy javelins and occasional arrows still caused some losses for Samuel.
''Fall back!'' After a few waves of arrows were exchanged, Samuels legions slowly backed off.
Their losses were stacking up, taking down a walled area isn't so easy.
Because of this, the next week consisted solely of occasional snipes with arrows and exchanges of ranged weapons.
Samuel sat with a stern face.
''We can't continue this. We have to take down the first wall at least.''
''Master, we don't have any other choice except for a frontal assault. Any spies we attempt to send in are spotted and killed immediately.''
An armoured commander spoke around a large table.
''We could move in siege equipment?''
''No we don't have the blueprints for effective weapons, ordinary stones won't do much against a warrior.''
''How about we poison their food?''
''You think that we could get into their defences to do it? No. We can only attack head on.''
The discussion continued, but the result was the same. They could only attack directly. Although it would undoubtedly cause a lot of losses if they can take the wall, future actions would be much easier.
So they waited until night. The well armed IronBlood Legion would lead the charge.
Night fell, the number of warriors on the wall fell as they went to sleep.
But tonight a shocking sound of shoes slamming against the ground rang out. The noise caused the warriors on the wall to look over, only to see thousands of shining soldiers charging towards the wall.
''Crap it's an attack!'' Shouts rang out over the wall.
The warriors that were sleeping rushed to get up to the wall, but their disorderly planning allowing the legions to reach the base of the wall.
Quickly the leading Dogs of War pulled out large pillars with a sharp metal spike and using their built up momentum they pierced them directly through the stone walls.
The following warriors used these as footholds as they leapt up like ninjas before reaching the top of the wall.
