Chapter 180

''Phew i'm out.'' He wiped sweat off of his head as he turned and saw no one chasing him.

Unfortunately he would not be able to return to the sect now.

So he had to figure out his next step. As a Planetary clone, he can either return to Eltorn Paradise, or continue to adventure in the Eternal Battlefield.

With no plan in mind, he found a small cave and went in there to rest. His eyes only barely closed as he saw a huddling group of fearful people inside of the cave.

''And you are?'' His eyes opened quickly and spoke to the people.

The leading person was an Old man, his eyes turned fearful as he got spoken to.

''We are escaped slaves. Please don't hurt us!'' he spoke quickly. Serpentine Samuel could clearly tell that these slaves where all mortals, and only the old man was a Low Rank 1 Warrior.

''Escape slaves huh?''

''Yes sir! The ones who caught us were attacked by a strange swarm of creatures, and we successfully escaped. But it was too dangerous to walk around so we could only hide here.''

Seeing the little makeshift home they had created inside of this cave, Serpentine Samuel immediately thought of something.

Why doesn't he make a small backup plan in case he suffers during the scourge?

So the next second he spoke to the mortals.

''Would you want to be my follower? I plan on creating a Cave Mansion.'' He asked casually.

But as expected, when the old man heard him he immediately smiled happily, his eyes glowing.

''Yes sir we would be honoured!'' He didn't even ask for the opinion of the rest of the two hundred mortals behind him before he spoke.

Samuels original body heard it and immediately instructed ten Dogs of War to travel over and take up positions with Serpentine Samuel. He definitely thought it was a good idea to have a backup plan.

At the same time Serpentine Samuel had to admit that the captives here were top quality. Except for the relatively old man who was clearly caught because he was a warrior, the others were all handsome and beautiful young adults.

Obviously they had been taken due to their superior qualities. But this made Serpentine Samuel slightly interested in visiting some slave traders in the future. If he can find some talented people and raise them, isn't it the same as making money?

But right now he has more important stuff. Serpentine Samuel received news that the ten dogs of war would arrive in less than two weeks.

Then he could work on making all of these people completely loyal to him. But before that, Serpentine Samuel put them all to work.

He left the cave and found some large trees, made out of basic spiritually enhanced oak wood. It is much stronger than steel, but incomparable to valuable materials.

He cut down the trees and segmented them into large wooden pillars before lifting them into the cave.

The mortal's job was to build a large wooden mansion inside the small cave. Of course it is no longer small, Serpentine Samuel used his ability to quadruple its size!

He could've done more but that's for the future. This is more than enough space right now.

So by the time that the ten dogs of war arrived to join the mansion, it was already a large wooden mansion, looking slightly unstable but the material held it up and strong.

While Serpentine Samuel had switched paths in his life so far, Lanston was also suffering the consequences of his actions.

The Sect had mobilised almost half of its disciples this time. Fifty thousand warriors were marching through the woods, led by hundreds of elders and three Grand Elders!

Each Grand Elder is a Rank 4 Powerhouse!

Such a force is incredible, and soon they arrived at the portal. The small force Serpentine Samuel was a part of was obviously wiped out. Only two of the elders escaped in the end.

But quickly they started a military operation. 50,000 Warriors attack simultaneously, killing hundreds of thousands of insects in seconds.

And in the next day, all the millions of beasts outside the portal were wiped out.

So they stepped into the portal. A Shocking battle occurred inside, with the Grand Elders personally taking action killing millions of these weak insects in seconds!

Lanston, who was enjoying the benefits brought by killing thousands of warriors, was suddenly interrupted. But he didn't even have time to get angry before his forces were all wiped out!

And in front of the entire Sect Army, Lanston was actually hanged to death!

Such a tragic end to a Protagonist was shocking. Of course this all originated from his own arrogance and a bit of Samuels intervention.

If Samuel hadn't destroyed the Caterpillar Isles, Lanston wouldn't have had to run and occupy a plane. He would've stayed where he was and had time to develop.

But if this shows anything, the so-called Sons of Luck aren't invincible on this ever changing battlefield.

When Samuel heard about it through Serpentine Samuels quick search, he couldn't help but sigh.

After all, in Samuels perception these Sons of luck are incredibly difficult to deal with, and are destined to reach the top of the world.

But this thought was knocked out of him immediately. They were just like ordinary warriors, they could be slain as simply as that!

Serpentine Samuel on the other hand, went into recluse. His group of one hundred mortals and ten warriors barricaded the entrance to the cave.

Slowly they expanded it and in the end it was a small village. But that was it. The mortals were still weak after all, Serpentine Samuel focused on making them all loyal to him.

However he left one of the Dogs of War camping around the cave, set to alert Serpentine Samuel of any news. And as expected, a month later something actually came back!

A large slave trading group popped up!
