Chapter 239

Luckily Samuel put the rule in place where they can't go personally. Otherwise he definitely would've lost a few hundred concubines.

And Samuel used the System reward of one summon per abyssal creature killed to give them a certain amount of Dogs of War based on the amount of creatures they killed.

So at least they aren't left with nothing.

However Lily took a strange turn. She divided her forces up. 5,000 went towards the abyss, the other 5,000 went the other way!

Originally warriors were always exploring in order to harness the resources of the Eternal Battlefield, but now the common herbs have been mostly cut off for most forces.

So Lily sent out her warriors to begin making a profit! If before a crate of a Common Herbs could sell for 1 Spiritual Crystal, now it has easily risen to 3 or 4!

And this is while organisations still have a stockpile, soon it will start to run lower and the price will raise.

But unexpectedly after delivering around twenty crates of herbs, Lily's soldiers found something strange.

The person leading her force was an upright middle aged man. A high Rank 2 Warrior that was forcibly recruited. He was previously the commander of an empire's army but was defeated by Lily.

In the end he realised that he couldn't win, so he took 500 of his men and joined Lily's army.

After sleeping with some Female Dogs of War he became a transitional Dog of War and became the commander due to his experience and skill.

But now he saw a strange scene in front of him. It was a small wooden hut surrounded by a few small wooden walls.

Inside some sickly green creatures crawled around, and a glistening white pool was laying still in front of the hut.

''Goblins? What is this?'' The man looked confused. He recognised the creatures, but he didn't expect to see some here.

At the same time the Goblins spotted them.

Suddenly they had stones in their hands. Raining down on the warriors outside.

''Crap, they are all Low Rank 1 Warriors?? Raise your shields!'' Suddenly the commander felt the strength and all the army pulled up their weapons.

''Fire the arrows!''

A stream of arrows flew over killing a hundred goblins easily.

The flimsy walls fell under their pressure and the army quickly flooded in.

The commander walked open to the wooden hut and kicked down the door.

''Bleh what the hell?'' What he saw kind of stunned him. There was a small wooden bed with a human figure laying on it.

But surrounding the human were two slightly better looking goblins bare naked!

''Interesting. Take him for questioning.'' The commander waved his hand and two warriors walked in and grasped the man by the arm.

Soon they were dragged out.

''Hey you can't do this to me! I'm the protagonist of this world! Bow down to me you stupid natives.''

An angry shout came from the man as he watched his two little girlfriends be stabbed with swords and the warriors march in to loot the room.

But he couldn't help himself before he was knocked out and dragged away.

When he woke up he saw a handsome face in front of him, however his eyes were fixed on the girls beside the man.

Three beautiful women better than the models in his last life were fawning desperately over the man talking and laughing happily.

''Ah you're awake? Good we can begin the questioning.'' Samuel smiled sinisterly. He already determined that this was a player.

He just wanted to know some more information.

''Whats your name?''

''FuriousBadger'' The man replied, still drooling over the girls beside Samuel.

''What was your starting species and how many can you summon?''

''Why would I tell you?'' The man replied mockingly, his eyes scanning the breasts of the Concubine.

''Because you will die otherwise.'' Samuel waved his hand and his attendant walked to the man and held a knife to his throat.

The man's eyes widened with fear when he felt the cold metal touch his neck.

''I'll tell you! It's the Lower-Level Species Goblins.''

The man spat out the words quickly trying to avoid death.

''That's better. How many can you summon? And how quickly do they grow?''

Samuel nodded and continued his questions.

''I can summon 10 a day. Because it is a Lower-Level Species I can summon more than others. Middle Level Species can only summon 5 a Day, High Level Species can be summoned 10 a month and I don't know about Top Level Species.''

The man spoke without Samuel having to ask him.

''And they grow pretty slowly. My goblins potential is only Middle Rank 1 and I haven't had any reach that level even after a month. Such a stupid game not allowing easy growth.''

The man showed a bit of disgust.

''Thank you for your information. Now die for me.'' Samuels hand stretched out and watched as the man's head burst in front of him.

[Killed One Player, Reward: Plane Teleportation Scroll.]

''Huh Plane Teleportation? Such a great reward for killing a single Goblin owner?'' Samuels eyes widened. He couldn't be happier with this!

He needs more territory now, and this is the perfect chance.

Each plane will definitely have a lot of mortals. And Mortals are an invaluable resource for a family.

Not only do they provide luck, they can do work and their descendants have a chance of Spiritual Roots!

From the Mortals that Samuel controls there have been hundreds of children born with spiritual roots without the Systems ability!

Although not many right now, if he can subdue more mortals it is a matter of time before he gets more without needing to use Crystals.

''But the information he gave me is helpful.'' Samuel tapped his chin slightly.

He didn't expect that the Eternal Tree would be so generous. Not only High-Level species but Top-Level Species as well!

Each Top-Level Species are overlords of one side but now mere mortals can summon them?

Luckily it seems like they can't summon many. Otherwise it definitely would be more dangerous than the scourge.

And their growth pattern is ordinary. If there was XP for the summons like in the Novels on Earth for Lords, then it would be way too powerful.

''Master, after you killed the man the pool of liquid on the Eternal Battlefield dried up and the hut collapsed. However at the bottom of the pool we found this.''

A smart looking Dog of War walked in holding a small vial of liquid.

''What is it?''

Samuel stared at it curiously. His hands reached out and grabbed it.
