Chapter 280

The first thing he noticed was a seemingly endless sky, filled with hundreds of thousands of clouds ascending. Large gaps of air separated each one.

As for Samuel himself, he stared down at the squishy floor below and realised they were also standing on a cloud!

The second thing he noticed, there were easily tens of millions of people in here! If Samuel had to guess, this was all of the Rank 2 Warriors that were on BlueStar at the moment.

But the final thing Samuel noticed? The few thousand figures standing at the front.

Regardless of the millions of people standing behind them, Samuel saw that they were unfazed.

Some held a peerless attitude, some looked like ordinary people, some old, some young, but they had one similarity. Samuel felt an endless fear when he looked at them.

He could clearly feel all of his actions would be under their control if they were to move so much as move.

Only the being in the orb gave him this type of pressure. Clearly some of these figures were on the same level as the creature that created this inheritance!

But there were clearly differences. Some stood at the front while others were clearly unwilling to offend those in front.

If Samuel had to guess, somewhere Rank 6 some Rank 7 some Rank 8 and there even some Rank 9s! The true owners of BlueStar!

As for why he thought that? There were 10 figures at the front, giving him the same pressure as the creature that left this inheritance!

But suddenly Samuel felt a cold sweat appear on his back. His eyes snapped towards the second row of people, an old man with a straight back turned his eyes towards Samuel.

But what confused Samuel, was the proud look that he held in his eyes. A sort of doting flashed by for a brief second before vanishing as he returned to his stern look.

'''Huh? Who is that man?''

Samuel felt a yearning deep within his body. And within his abdomen a black mass he was unaware of began to light up even more.

The black mass that was previously spotted with light since he began to absorb aura finally came to Samuel's attention as it began to vibrate slowly as if sensing something important.

''What is this!''

Samuels eyes widened. He didn't expect something to be in his abdomen this entire time!

And it is in the location where a Spiritual Root normally is!

''Forget it, look into it a bit more when we leave.''

Just as Samuel wanted to dig deeper, his eyes squinted slightly.

Regardless of the crowded area, a bald-headed man turned around and looked at Samuel greedily.

''Hey boy why don't you hand over that ring on your finger and I won't kill you?''

Samuels smirked slightly as he felt the man emit the aura of a High Rank 2 Warrior. Clearly he thought he had some say in the sea of weaker Rank 2 Warriors.

And Samuel had to admit if you ignore the few hundred Rank 3 Warriors in the area he really did have a say among the nearby thousands of Rank 2 Warriors.

Unfortunately he picked the wrong person.

''Trash.''

Samuel smirked, a light flashed followed by a heavy clunk.

Under the eyes of dozens of spectators the man that acted so arrogantly was dead. A single steel spear was held in Samuels arms.

''I need to find a better weapon.''

Samuel sighed and shook his head. He had gone through a few weaker spears and some low level artifacts but they disappointed him.

''Not bad.''

Samuel smiled slightly and picked up a small cloth bag from the waist of the warrior. After checking it he found close to a thousand Spiritual Crystals worth of resources and a few sets of spare armour and basic necessities.

As for Spiritual Crystals, they are used for many things. It is uncommon for warriors to carry around a lot of crystals.

But the resources were enough to interest Samuel.

Now before this goes any further I feel like it is necessary to explain. The resources consist of common herbs useful to improve physiques, small quantities of resources like Mythril and iron.

Often some small tubes of Spiritual Liquid or carcusses of beasts that where hunted.

While these might seem slightly useless, a lot of resources are used to maintain forces.

If Samuel hadn't been able to ensure the loyalty of the Dogs of War he would definitely be worried that they would rebel after the small amount of resources he provides them.

After all, there are just too many of them! He tries his hardest but tens of thousands of Spiritual Crystals worth of resources are used each year just for Dark Guards let alone the other forces combined.

Of course the Dogs of War collect their own resources, but Samuel still helps to provide for younger ones or those that are completing missions.

''Kill them.''

Thinking of this, Samuel gave a maniacal smirk.

His words confused the spectators, but they quickly realised what it meant.

The two brave figures behind Samuel vanished in a plume of light.

The next second EG1 appeared, his hand grasping the throat of a middle-aged woman.

With a sickening crack, a High Rank 2 Warrior was dead.

Her bag vanished in an instant along with EG1. Who soon reappeared at his next victim.

EG2 was carrying out a brutal massacre on the other side.

''It seems like this place really has no rules.''

Samuel sighed watching his Guards massacre freely. Despite a dozen warriors dying already, no one in the distant surroundings took action.

Not only did they not take action, but thousands of fights broke out in an instant!

''It seems like I can have some fun as well.''
