Chapter 7

The class was very boring since I already knew almost all the answer. Having memories of my past life got really helpful at class, especially since I'm a former general with a vast of general knowledge and of course some forbidden knowledge as well. What kind of forbidden knowledge you ask? Well, for example the key code for some nuclear bombs and of course with their location. There are not much area here that can hide nuclear experiments in this country, so I can guess some place that have a hidden military base.

The class is over now and it was time for the school break. I stood up from my seat and was heading to the cafeteria because I feel quite hungry, but suddenly I can feel someone hand on my shoulder stopping me to go any further. When I look back, I can see Sona there standing right behind me while smiling to me. I got a very bad feeling about this.

"Hyoudou Tatsuya - san, Can you tell me where so you plan to go? Did you perhaps forgot about what I said this morning?"(Sona)

"Ha ha ha... Of course I remembered, I just want to grab a bread quickly before going to the student council room, but I think it can wait. Well president, let's go to the student council room first."(Tatsuya) I said nervously.

"Good, follow me then."(Sona) She spoke in a flat tone before she started to walk on the opposite direction.

I followed her from behind quietly. She didn't spoke at all from the start till we reached the student council room. As we entered the room, there already someone waiting inside the room. She is a bespectacled girl with long straight black hair. Her hair extends down to her knees, with split bangs and has light brown eyes. She was wearing the standard girl Kuoh Academy uniform with blue, semi rimmed glasses with square lenses. She is Tsubaki Shinra, a member of the student council of this academy.

She gave me a curious look before moving towards Sona to talk about some school stuff. When they finished their talk, Sona sat down on one of the sofa inside this room and gestured me to sit on the other chair opposite of her. as for the other girl, without telling her what to do, she had stood behind Sona and keep her silence.

"Hyoudou Tatsuya-san, do you know the reason why you called here?"(Sona)

"What?"(Tatsuya) I asked, acting like I know nothing about the reason, though I can guess it.

"Since the first year, you have been late for more than a hundred times. Sometimes you came in the middle of the first period, sometimes you even came after the school break is over. You even miss school a few times, and not just that, I'm not talking about today, but you have slept almost everyday in class since the first day at school until today. I have warned you several times before and even met your parents to talk about this problematic behavior of yours but it seems there still no change from you."(Sona)

Wow... the previous owner of this body is tardy as hell, I can't even imagine how can someone sleep that much, don't your muscle and body hurts if you slept to much? Well there's nothing I can do to change the past. I need to figure a way to get out from here as fast as I can. This girl analytic ability is high and there's a huge chance for me to got caught by her since my personality is totally different than the previous owner of this body.

"So... the point is?"(Tatsuya)

"*sigh* The teachers has been complaining about your unacceptable behavior, even if you are a smart person and can even ace the test given by the teacher easily, it doesn't mean that you can ignore the class and school. You should now that your current identity is a student and a student responsibility is to attend school and study diligently."(Sona) She said with a stern gaze and serious tone.

"Okay, I heard it loud and clear, so can I go now?"(Tatsuya)

"Please take this seriously, this concern about your future. You can't act like this forever, if you enter the society like this then you won't be able to find a job and survive. Can't you even understand that much? Do you even have any motivation to live well?"(Sona)

"Hmm, well there's nothing at the moment. This kind of life is so boring, spending to study, playing, and other stuff, then repeat it again and again, that kind of life is to bland for me so I rather used my time to sleep to pass the boredom. Well there's my reason, so can you not bother with me anymore? This is my problem and not yours so don't stick your nose to my life."(Tatsuya) I hope with this she will gave up on me and stop watching over me.

"... I can't do that, as the president of this school you are under of jurisdiction and that means your are my responsibility. With all that said, can you give me an example of what you consider as fun or entertaining and not bland as you said before."(Sona)

"I consider fighting, learning martial arts, weapon arts, and other related to that as something that I interest with, that's it. You have my answer now, can I go now?"(Tatsuya)

"Not yet."(Sona) She said then she went silent for a while. I don't know what she's thinking right now, I already said what she wants to know. *sigh* What a drag. After waiting for a while, she then asked me a question that came out of nowhere.

"Hyoudou Tatsuya, do you know how to play chess?"(Sona)

"What? Yes I can, why are you asking me this question?"(Tatsuya)

#AuthorNote: Tatsuya doesn't know and remembered all of the high school dxd story so he doesn't know about the chess deal that Sona made with her family. The only knowledge he has right now is that Rias is a devil, Sona and the whole student council a well, and about the three faction. Outside of them, he doesn't know about it or forgot about it. That's all.

"Then play a match with me. If I win, you will have to do what I said but if you win you can do as you wish."(Sona) She said bravely.

I think she is overconfident with her abilities to make this kind of deal with me. Well, there's nothing to lose with this deal, and since I'm a former general, of course I have played this game many times to hone my intelligence. I won't lose that easily.

"Deal! Don't move back on your words alright."(Tatsuya)

Without being ordered to, Tsubaki took out a chess board out of a cabinet and lay it on the table between me and Sona. We then started to play the match seriously and damn I can say she is a strong opponent. Without realizing the time, we kept our focus on the match to the point that we didn't even realize it when the day has turned to night.

After many hours of using my head to strategize my move, I put a checkmate on her. I'm very happy to be able to win against her since even in my past life, the people around me doesn't even give any challenge to me when we played chess. While I was happy on the inside, I still keep my calm facade on the outside.

When I turn my gaze on Sona face, she has the look like someone that has face the end of the world. Even Tsubaki got surprise by her master lost. I don't know why are they making that kind of face like this is the end of the world, this is only a game right? Wait is there something behind this match that I perhaps doesn't know? Since I got to curious, I break the silence and ask her.

"Why are you making that kind of face? Isn't this just a game? I won and you lose, that's all. You don't have to be that tense for losing to me you know."(Tatsuya) I said trying to brighten the mood.

"You... be quiet! You don't even know what this mean to president!"(Tsubaki) she said while getting mad out of a sudden.

"Tsubaki, stop it. *sigh* Hyoudou Tatsuya, I never thought that I will lose to you out of all the people out there. I'm sorry but there is something that I need to tell you first. I don't need to do this if you lose to me, but since you have won against me in a chess match, you have the right to know about this deal."(Sona) She said seriously.

"What do you mean?"(Tatsuya) I got a very bad feeling about this.

"I'm sorry to drop this to you but I have made a deal with my family that I will marry the person who can beat me in a game of chess. Don't interrupt me and let me finish first. I came from a prestigious family that still hold the arranged marriage tradition. Since I don't want to be married to someone with a lower ability than me, I made that deal with my parents and now that I have lost to you, I will have to marry you."(Sona)

"WHAT?! What kind of family did you came from? That's custom is so old you know. If I refuse, there shouldn't be a problem right?"(Tatsuya) Yeah right, my gut were right this time. I just want to grow quietly why is it so difficult, Goddamn it!
