Honestly, creating a "divine realm" is no easy task. It comes with many complications and limitations. However, the [Fief] solved all those problems, and the new idea I had cleared up all my previous doubts. I had finally found the way.
Elise was looking at me, puzzled. I remained silent, moving my eyes and hands as I manipulated the screens that controlled the [Fief]. In truth, I could do everything just by thinking, but this way was much more comfortable.
After a while, I smiled when I saw that the first step of my idea was ready. Then, I looked at her.
"I've figured it out," I declared.
"Really?" she asked, surprised. "What will my divinity be?"
"Let's see it," I said, grabbing her hoof just before we vanished together.
...
When we reappeared, we were floating in absolute blackness. There was nothing around us… except a small patch of land, barely 1x1 meters, suspended without base or ceiling, as if floating in the middle of nothingness.
Stabilizing ourselves was tricky. Elise, in particular, couldn't stop moving. She spun, twisted, and not even her wings helped her fly properly. It was hilarious—more so than that one time she thought she was drowning.
In the end, she had to anchor herself to the tiny dirt platform to calm down and learn how to float. Well, it was actually simple: you just had to let go. Though the surroundings felt like infinite space, it really wasn't that big.
Once we felt stable, we floated again in front of the platform, observing it.
"Is this floor going to be my divinity?" she asked, slightly confused. Though the truth was she didn't really care. If I asked her, she would accept it without hesitation.
"Yes… but it's not just a chunk of dirt," I clarified, making a few more gestures with my hands.
Then, the platform seemed to shift. The image blurred for a moment as the earth changed shape, and soon, before our eyes, it folded in on itself into a perfect sphere.
"This," I said with excitement, "is a small world, Elise. A world we can grow and shape however we like."
I had done it. I took advantage of one of the fief's qualities: its ability to divide into subspaces. I didn't want to use the entire fief for Elise's divinity, and thanks to this function, I didn't have to. In fact, it opened up many more possibilities.
A divine realm has its advantages, but also many limitations. Choosing something too small as a divinity can make its growth slow, tedious, and capped. Missing the chance to truly develop as a god would be a waste. That's why no god would ever establish their realm in a place this tiny… but we didn't have to worry about that.
This size is perfect for a quick claim, and its development won't depend solely on the god. We'll use the fief's expansion function to grow and enhance the land just by investing money. Convenient, right?
I tried explaining all of this to Elise, but she didn't quite grasp how fascinating it was. I, on the other hand, was thrilled. Being able to divide the fief into subspaces meant that, if more gods appeared in the future, we'd have an easy development path for them too.
A divine realm allows a god to control all the laws within their domain. With a large and relatively complete world, one can quickly evolve into a higher deity. If we manage to create complex subworlds, we could even form an entire pantheon of supergods here.
And who knows… if we reach the final battle era of the apocalypse, I don't see why we couldn't join the fight… and kick a few divine asses. But that's a problem for the future.
"Elise, you have to claim this mini planet," I said, even though it was barely the size of a beach ball.
"Alright…" she replied naturally, intrigued by what would happen next. "But… how do I do that?"
And so began an improvised class on how to establish a divinity… taught by someone who only knew about the topic thanks to what someone else had told him. Indeed, neither of us had any real experience. We could only rely on what Morgana had explained to us, and on some old texts we had obtained.
Elise managed to get a basic idea and began to try. She furrowed her brow, stared intensely at the dirt sphere… The concentration she displayed was so strong it looked like her head might explode. But nothing happened. Nothing at all. The process was incredibly difficult.
One hour. Two. Three…
"Use your magic, Elise. Surround it, fill it with your essence." I spoke from the side, trying to guide and inspire her. "This is something no other god could do—but you can, because this is small enough. Take advantage of that. Claim it, dominate it, impose your being on it… This is your divinity."
Ten, eleven, twelve hours later...
Honestly, it was pretty monotonous. Beyond giving her a few words of encouragement, I didn't have much else to do. Elise was still there, floating in the void, motionless, focused on establishing her bond with her future divinity.
Fortunately, I had already updated the [Fief]'s time adjustment function. For now, it could only double the internal time compared to the outside world, but it was something.
I knew this would take time. We were inexperienced. Even if this divinity was the easiest to assimilate, it was still an overwhelming challenge for us. Luckily, I had sent a clone outside, and I had also activated the skill I used during campaigns: dividing my mind. Because if I hadn't… having a consciousness functioning in two different timeflows would've driven me completely insane.
...
Meanwhile, in the outside world, I ran into Morgana.
Our interactions were… peculiar, to put it mildly. We weren't friends, but not quite enemies either. There was a certain familiarity between us, yet we weren't lovers. Although, to be honest, I never missed a chance to rattle her insides.
Anyway… this time, she came with what you might call bad intentions. She still hadn't given up on her ambitions regarding Elise. To her, Elise was a golden opportunity she couldn't afford to miss. She approached me hoping I'd help her get some hair, blood, maybe a bit of ground horn, and other ingredients she somehow considered "useful" from my wife.
I had to refuse, no matter how persuasive she was. I explained that Elise wasn't available at the moment… though I accidentally let slip just enough for her to grasp the essential: Elise was establishing her divinity.
I didn't say much, but Morgana is sharp. Very sharp. That was all she needed to connect the dots.
To say she became anxious would be an understatement. She literally grabbed my genitals with a mix of force and tenderness, somewhere between a command and a plea:
"Take me to her," she said, her voice tense and seductive.
She didn't want to miss the show. In her eyes, Elise was far too juicy a prey, and she was more than ready to squeeze her dry… perhaps even literally.
In a way, she never judged me for my relationship with Elise—not the way others did. Her perspective was… different. She believed I was like her: a true Slytherin, even if that term didn't exist yet. But that's the best way I can describe how she perceived my existence.
She was convinced my bond with Elise was purely out of self-interest. That I didn't care she wasn't human, not even that she was equine. In her mind, it was all about power. She believed that even if Elise had a horse's member, I wouldn't hesitate to let myself be impaled by it if it meant continuing to benefit from this emerging goddess.
Because to Morgana, the ends always justified the means.
She believed I was only with Elise for her divine potential, and that's why, when she had me alone, she didn't hesitate for a second to drop to her knees, free my "great serpent," and take it in her mouth, whispering devilish promises.
She promised results. Doubled, tripled… even tenfold greater than what Elise could achieve on her own. She told me we should share the spoils, that I should hand Elise over to her, that she, an expert in the divine, would know how to extract every last drop of her essence and go far beyond. That she was the better option, more promising and beautiful, and could be used far more shamelessly. That last bit was said with a sultry tone as she released and squeezed her own breasts. She had figured out that, despite everything, I was still a man who thought with the lower half of his body—and she exploited that very well.
I have to admit it: Morgana was a damn witch in every sense of the word. Not just because of what she could do with her mouth, but because of what she said. She could turn even the vilest betrayal into seduction. She painted such a tempting picture with her words that, for a moment—yes—I imagined the possibility. I thought about betraying Elise… and then ravishing Morgana on the altar of ambition.
Of course, it was just a fantasy. I never had any real intention of doing it.
But Morgana didn't stop. She kept pushing, changing tactics, trying new methods of seduction and manipulation. She told me I no longer had to beg for power by sleeping with a mare—or that, if I was really into equines, she'd find me the most beautiful, enchanted, and willing ones… I just had to give Elise up.
Refusing her was hard, especially after I threw myself at her and we ended up like two beasts in heat. Yes… it was questionable to go that far only to then say no.
I'm sure that if it weren't for the contract that bound us, I'd have real reasons to fear for my life afterward.
Of course, she didn't give up, but I made it clear that my relationship with Elise wasn't out of interest. That what we had was true love. That I wouldn't let her perform some twisted ritual to rip out Elise's soul and savor it like vintage wine.
Morgana then gave me the most scornful sneer I've ever seen on her face. She called me "idiot," "degenerate," and tried to crush my genitals in fury. Luckily, it wasn't physically possible for her.
Later on, she became affectionate again. This time, her objective was different: to get information about Elise. If she couldn't get anything from me, she'd try to seduce her for the benefits… and maybe use her to get rid of me.
She really was a woman willing to do anything. And then she called me the sick one.
What can I say? The worst part is that she kept trying to seduce me. She had discovered I was capable of acquiring things others wouldn't even dream of… and after the second round, let's just say I gave in a little. Nothing definitive, but enough to whet her greed.
For a brief moment, Morgana—though frustrated by not getting everything she wanted and recognizing me as a pesky obstacle—considered that perhaps the best move was to keep us… both. Me and Elise. As useful pieces on her board.
After that, she left me relatively alone. But I noticed a change.
She started involving me more in her affairs. Not because she opened her heart to me or thought me worthy, but because she was waiting for the perfect moment to use me. She knew exactly which card to play, and when to play it.
Future witches have much to learn when it comes to sexual magic. Even I started to consider expanding my library in that field. Yes, they were dark techniques, with questionable consequences—but in this campaign… morality didn't weigh too heavily.
And I have to admit it: her title of "Dark Witch" was more than well earned.
Perhaps even a little too modest.
