Chapter 10- Surprise and out-of-comfort-zone

"Eat up dear" (Grandpa)

"Thank you, let's start" (Lorrin)

"Where is Shawn?" (Lorrin)*curious*

Though, Shawn might not be there for other two meals he was always present for breakfast, so seeing him missing was kind of odd occurrence,

"He has gone to pick up Lara" (Grandpa)

"Who is Lara?" (Lorrin)*curious*

"Your sister-in-law." (Grandpa)

"Sister-in-law?" (Lorrin)*shocked*

"Wife of Shawn " (Lorrin) *doubtful*

"Yes, Shawn's wife Lara William they married year ago " (Grandpa)*Trying to make her believe*

"Love marriage?" (Lorrin)*Suspicious*

"Yes, your brother Shawn is quite good at courting, she is from a normal family so it was tough accepting her but, she was persistent and showed me she was sincere, they are a great match.'(Grandpa)*being more specific*

"I never thought he would be able to get married out of love." (Lorrin)*still surprised*

"I know." (Grandpa)*nodding*

"He is too arrogant and not a very husband material." (Lorrin)*mentioning facts*

"Totally agreed." (Grandpa)*100% agreeing*

Lorrin did think he might be married but, never thought it would be out of love, Shawn was stiff, cunning, and hard to read kind of guy, so to think that someone actually took the risk to love him and marry him was interesting, thinking like this Lorrin was not alone his grandfather was also similar to Shawn, he did tell Lorrin about how he married his wife and how surprised he was when she actually accepted to marry him, at his young times he was no different than Shawn.

Lorrin ate up and ran down to see this brave person, Shawn was standing there waiting for her as soon as he saw her, he gave her a warm hug, he was smiling like crazy which made Lorrin cringe, a guy who usually keeps that business smile or cold face most of the time when he is with someone other than family was just a sight to see, he was a puppy in love, they were whispering like teen couples, Lorrin and grandpa were watching them afar while eating popcorns and wearing 3d glasses, they took quite a while so, Lorrin and grandpa went to the dining table, as they wanted to give them space and browsed through the social media, after a while he finally remembered the housemates, he came to the dining table, the two looked like internet gossipers as they were whispering together while looking at the phone screen,

"You are done with the breakfast" (Shawn)*approaching them*

"Long ago" (Grandpa & Lorrin)*ignoring*

The two were so lost in it, they didn't even take the pain to raise their head, Shawn clenched his fist and was ready to throw an attack at them, this was not the first time they ignored him while looking at their damn phones,

"Hi, I am Clara, how are you guys?" (Clara)

The two still didn't raise their heads,

'Hey, that was a girls voice.' (Grandpa)*whispering*

'It was.' (Lorrin)*nodding*

'Did we invite someone?' (Grandpa)*Doubtful*

'Yeah' (Lorrin)*mindless*

'Who?' (Grandpa)*Feeling uncomfortable*

'Shawn's wife.' (Lorrin)*still not realizing*

'It must be her.' *Both of them gulping* (Grandpa)*both of them finally realize*

'What shall we do?' (Lorrin)*Sweating*

'Raise our heads and greet maybe' (Grandpa)*trying to be calm*

Both of them slowly raised their heads, with almost the same hair it looked like two twins if not for age, they awkwardly smiled at the couple, the face behind the lady was completely different from the man's face, if one was angel other was devil, he was glaring at them like a dog ready to pounce, they were thankful, that the lady was there, especially Lorrin, grandpa was an elder so he might be safe but, not for Lorrin,

'Lorrin, will you greet' *menacing*(Shawn)

'Yes, I will, hi good morning I am Lorrin' (Lorrin)*scared*

'You are so pretty; I have heard a lot about you.' (Clara)*giggling*

'Thanks' (Lorrin)(still scared)

Behind grandpa and Shawn were having war of nerve though, Lorrin had witnessed it so many times but, she was still not comfortable in this situation, whereas Lara was quite relaxed; right at the moment a maid came and informed them,

"Young master Zhou is here he wishes to meet Miss Lorrin"(maid)

"I will go meet him" (Lorrin)

Lorrin took a quick escape from them, Shawn didn't even have the time to stop Lorrin,

'This girl!' (Shawn)*annoyed*

Lorrin ran out of the kitchen, she was so thankful foe Sam's timing was waiting in the waiting room, he was standing looking out of the window wearing a black suit, he looked dam ethereal wearing that suit and his jet-black hair slicked back, he had such well-defined feature anyone would fall for but, unfortunately it was not to Lorrin's taste,

"I missed you" (Sam)*sincere*

"I didn't"(Lorrin)*stern*

"You are cold hearted" (Sam)*kind of hurt*

From the first time they met Lorrin kind of figured out that Sam had feelings for him butt, Lorrin had just got out of a real trash relationship and she was not thinking of a relationship, Sam was not to Lorrin's taste, Lorrin liked slim muscles guys but, Sam was a buff man, Lorrin took this as a reason to keep herself away from Sam and Sam to also push away she now started to purposefully act cold, she knew Sam was not taking her as a short term relationship as he had already made his intention clear by trying to get closer to Lorrin's family and score points with them so, when the time comes he could take her but, it seemed like he forgot to focus on the person who he wanted more than the other, Lorrin knew that Sam thought that, she was the only daughter so, her marriage partner should be one of the top with respectful personality and love marriage was almost impossible, he put too much attention on these things an didn't care about what she actually thought of her, Lorrin felt the need to show him that if she is not interested it a no,

"So, what why did you come here " (Lorrin)*direct*

"I came here to talk to you, and tell. you something" (Sam)*startled*

Listening to Lorrin cold tone Sam was caught off guard, she was someone who talked in a friendly, playful or rude tone, when she felt close to a person.
