There was a knock on the door. An old man with a black beard entered the room. He is a royal doctor. The man saluted Syrena.

"Princess, you better get out of here quickly!" Flynt said with a look of dislike.

[okay, okay! Even a slave in here dared to give orders to me.]

Syrena turned around and then immediately left Prince Agenor's room.

[I shouldn't have paid attention to that horrible man!]

Syrena walked briskly towards her room in the basement. She entered the room and then laid down on the thin mattress. The princess replayed the events she had just experienced in her mind. Her life was close to being lost.

Syrena's stomach growled again. The princess suspected that her husband was on purpose making her vomit so that Syrena's stomach was empty again. The brunette princess sighed tiredly; she had never felt hungry like it before.

[Syrena, forget this hunger! Close your eyes and go to sleep!]

Maybe sleep could forget Syrena from hunger. Unfortunately, that's not what happened. The princess, who was used to living with all the luxuries, could not sleep with a hungry.

[Father… Mother… I feel like I'm going to die soon. I hope you bury my body in Ruxenia.]

A knock on the door startled Syrena. The princess immediately walk to the doorknob. She thought maybe Evania would come to bring her some food. Unfortunately, Syrena's guess was wrong. The one standing behind the door was the man who threw her out not too long ago.

With annoyance, Syrena was about to close the door again. However, the man in all black held the door handle so tightly that the door failed to close.

"What do you want?" she asked without staring at the man.

"Prince Agenor asks for your presence in his room!"

"Come to his room for what?" Syrena sensed something terrible was about to happen.

"I don't know. Just do the prince's orders!" The man replied coldly.

Worry enveloped Syrena's heart. Prince Agenor almost killed her not long ago, even though it didn't happen. Now he asked Syrena to come to his room. Will he continue his killing spree?

"I don't want to go there!" Syrena pushed the door again. It looks like Flynt's patience was also running out. The man in all black pushed the door hard.

"Don't trouble yourself! Obey Prince Agenor! Don't make me drag a princess roughly!" Flynt threatened with a sharp look in his eyes. The man looked severe with his words.

Flynt's right hand signalled Syrena to come out with a slight bow. Feeling cornered, Syrena could only comply with Prince Agenor's right-hand man's request.

During the trip, Syrena's heart was beating fast. The princess tried to reassure herself that everything would go well.

Arriving at Prince Agenor's room door, the guard opened the door for Syrena. The princess entered the room with trepidation. However, Syrena's eyes found the prince lying on the bed.

The brunette princess approached her husband's bed. The prince was seen sleeping without a blanket covering his body.

[I feel the maids here are incompetent! Look at their master has faint, but being left without a blanket!]

Syrena's hands grabbed the blanket at the end of the bed and covered the winged prince with a black blanket. When Syrena's hand was on the prince's chest, the man surprisingly opened his eyes and gripped Syrena's hand tightly.

Syrena was surprised and withdrew her hand. Unfortunately, the prince didn't let that happen and pulled Syrena to the bed. In an instant, the situation changed. The prince had surrounded Syrena with bloodshot eyes.

Afraid. That's what Syrena thought. The princess struggled, but the grip on her wrist made her impossible the move at all.

"Let me go!" shrieked Syrena.

The white-haired prince smirked as if he enjoyed Syrena's move.

"Why in such a hurry, Eleanor?" The prince's baritone voice terrorized Syrena's ears.

"I'm not Eleanor!" said Syrena as she looked into Prince Agenor's eyes which turned red.

[Wonderful. This girl was very similar to Eleanor. Even the blood smell is the same.]

Even though Syrena wanted to run, she also hated when the prince mentioned another woman's name in front of her for no reason.

She didn't know what was funny; the white-haired man laughed heartily. "Sorry, I mispronounced your name."

As if in disbelief, Syrena heard an apology from the man who had almost killed her recently.

"What do you want from me?" Syrena asked in a severe tone. She didn't want to make small talk anymore.

"Don't speak harshly to the person who will save you!" The white-haired prince said softly, then smiled. Syrena did not guess it; the horrible man's smile on her looked charming.

[What has he said? Save me? I must be dreaming!"]

"This is not a dream, My Princess." said the winged prince surprising the princess. Syrena's eyes widened as if she couldn't believe her hearing.

"You are..."

"Yes, I can hear your heart."

[Does not make sense!]

"Why still don't believe me? I can hear your heart."

Silent, Syrena thought about many things that might happen.

"Don't be confused. I'm Nyxe, the demon spirit you put into Prince Agenor's body."

"D~Demon spirit?" Syrena's mouth opened. Her eyebrows rose at the same time.

"I don't understand. How can it happen?"

The brunette princess was still shocked. Her brain couldn't tell the difference between reality and illusion.

"Did you forget the magic potion you gave Prince Agenor? In that potion, my spirit resides. After the prince drank it, my spirit entered his body."

Not what Syrena expected. The potion even failed to get him out of a political marriage—the man who married her claims to have been possessed by a demon spirit.

"With time, you will understand it. I came because you called me," said the white-haired man, gripping the princess's wrist.

"I don't call you!" said Syrena, confused.

"You begged for help when this man would kill you at the dinner table."

A memory of the time Prince Agenor nearly killed Syrena replayed. At that time, Syrena was screaming for help in her heart. But she did not expect at all if a demon spirit would receive the summons.

"So you're my guardian angel now?"

"No. I told you I'm a demon." The white-haired man laughed again.

"Well, whatever it is, you saved me from this terrible man. Thank you. Does that also mean you can keep me out of this prince's reach next time? I don't want to have sex with him!" The brunette princess's eyes turned hopeful.

"Yes. Of course, I can. But, are you not interested in this handsome prince at all?"

"No, I don't want to get further involved with him. He didn't just think of me as a mistress, but more so. He thought I was a whore. He doesn't love me at all."

The man on top of Syrena's body sighed. He seemed to know what Syrena was thinking.

"Okay, I understand. However, my help is not free." The man smirked.

"Whatever your request, I'll pay for it," Syrena spoke confidently.

"Very good. I like a determined girl like you."

"Quickly say what you want!" Syrena said impatiently.

"I want to take your most precious possession for sacrifice."
