16. Ginger Soup

When the first ray of the sun lit up her exquisite face, she struggled to open her eyes. There was no sleep in her aching eyes now, but she did not even want to wake up today. Perhaps this fatigue was not due to roaming in the palace, but because of the thoughts running in her mind. When her eyes began to see clearly, she saw that Sinja was decorating a bouquet of beautiful flowers in the bedroom. She delighted after seeing her and sat on the bed leisurely.

"Good morning, your grace." Sinja Smiled while decorating the flowers for her.

"Why did you think of decorating the room with flowers today?" She asked in a slight lazy voice. Sinja came to her and bent down on her knees while placing her silky sleepers on her feet.

"When his highness left in the morning, he asked me to decorate the bedroom with lots of flowers."

When Jane Dover heard this, she became stunned and looked around in the bedroom. Sinja had really decorated the room beautifully but why suddenly he asked to decorate the room like this and the strangest thing was…why could not she smell the flowers?

AAckchhu…

"Your grace…"

Sinja quickly brought the napkin and came to her.

"Have you caught a cold?"

Jane Dover looked at her in a haze and held the napkin. Had she caught a cold?

AAckchhu…

She wiped the tip of her nose and looked at Sinja in a daydreaming but Sinja seemed to be nervous.

"My lady, you should not roam in the garden alone. You caught a cold. I will ask the cook to cook ginger soup for you."

"It's okay, Sinja. I will go and take bath first."

Jane Dover finally understood the reason behind her laziness and lack of smell.

Darius Simard, riding like a chef on a horse as white as milk, was moving faster than the wind towards the dense southern forest between Winsonland and Janseng whose winds were dreadful and the weather dangerous. The wind was playing with his thick black hair and his serious eyes were so deep that even the Black Sea of the South was drowned in it.

There was anger on the face shining like the sun, but a mysterious smile on the lips. Strong arms were showing the horse the direction of the dense forest and the ground was trembling at the feet of that horse. As the king of the jungle had returned to the forest, the wild animals were hiding in fear. Darius Simard's horse reached the corner where he was hesitant to go, he hijacked and lifted both the front pairs.

Darius Simard was skilled in horse riding, so he did not lose his balance and held the reins of the horse tightly. When the horse left both his feet on the ground, Darius Simard jumped on the ground. A Ghana and a big tree stood in front of it like a mountain with arms outstretched, which darkened in Darius Simard's eyes upon seeing it.

A green light flashed out of that tree and an old man with a sly smile appeared in front of Darius Simard.

"Welcome ."

The cold gaze turned shady and Darius Simard suppressed uneasiness inside his heart after seeing Martin.

"Should I call you the prince of Winsonland or the defeated king of the southern forest, Sean Walsh?"

Darius Simard did not find it right to answer this question and the old man nodded with a slight smile.

Before he could throw more words, Darius Simard smirked sarcastically and shook his head helplessly at the old man.

Martin smirked and looked at the white horse with his sly eyes and the horse turned to be a crow.

Crow...

Darius Simard turned his head and looked at the crow with his forewarning eyes. The crow quickly turned into a human and looked at him with irritation.

"Fuck, I don't want to be human." They ignored his complaint and looked at each other coldly.

"How does it feel to be a human being?"

"Come to the point." Darius Simard did not want to waste his precious time in such useless conversation because he had a nation to deal with.

"It seems that you became busy after becoming Darius Simard."

"Why did you call me here?" He asked in his cold voice.

Martin smiled slyly and came in front of Darius Simard with his demonic aura which did not affect Darius Simard as his dark aura was more difficult and terrible than Martin.

"I have called here to remind you that there was a deal between us."

Darius Simard's dark eyes were throwing anger while saying, "Which deal are you talking about? Which did you turn into deception?"

Martin smirked and said, "I did not deceive you, you yourself had left this forest in my hand."

Darius Simard suppressed his anger inside his heart and glared at him coldly.

"I had entrusted you to take care of this forest, I did not make you the king of this forest."

Martin laughed and bounce his shoulders.

"But now I am the king, you have to believe this."

Before Darius Simard could react, Jack, who was standing behind him, replied hatefully, "Believe it or not, I will never accept you as the king of this jungle. King will always be Sean Walsh."

After hearing his shout, Martin laughed while shaking his head at that freak thing.

"Insignificant animal. If you do not believe, the truth will not change."

His glare turned towards Darius Simard who was standing calmly with his dark gaze.

"Well, I am sad that you have to live like a human among humans where you cannot use your powers. But I am also glad that you will not get a chance to come here now."

Darius Simard was as cool as an iceberg while speaking, "I have promised to protect this forest, who will stop me from coming here? You?" There came a sparkle in his blue eyes and Martin gritted his teeth angrily after seeing his sly smile.

"You have fallen so much for that woman that you may not remember any of your duties." He roared.

Darius Simard's eyes were as if the fire had descended, but still, he captured that fire in his fist and smirked.

"According to our deal you were supposed to marry my daughter but you went to that woman and lived with her without marrying Jinia!" He was angry.

Darius Simard glared at him coldly.

"What do you want to say?"

"I called you here to remind you that I can do anything for my daughter's happiness." Martin turned back with a sarcastic smile.

Darius Simard was calm as if the snake was lying on his broad chest there a python was enveloped around his feet. He bowed his and looked at the python with a sly smile and said negligently, "Stop being childish."

The python quickly turned into Henry and they glared at each other.

Darius Simard sarcastically smiled, "You punk."

"You…"

"Henry…" Before Henry could raise his palm to hit Darius Simard, Martin stopped him and Henry felt rage while gritting his teeth.

"You should respect him. He was the king of this forest." Martin looked at Henry and Darius Simard looked at Martin negligently.

"Stop it, now."

"No, no. How can I forget that deal?"

"I am already married to Jane Dover."

Martin started laughing and raised his palm to attack Darius Simard with his power, before he could do such, Darius Simard narrowed his eyes which had already turned red from which, the power rushed out and stopped Martin.

WhenMartin stepped back because of Darius Simard's power, he looked at him while panting.

Darius Simard smiled proudly and came closer to him then said, "I can stop you. Never forget that."

His dark and red eyes were startling and Martin gave up his anger because he could see he had already teased him to death.

Darius Simard gave a warning look to Henry and then turned back to leave.

"The day she will come to know that you are not her husband but the guise of this magical world, she will never forgive you." Martin shouted on his back and Darius Simard slowly turned his head and looked at him from the corner of his dark eyes.

"I'll wait for that day because I want to see you disappointed." He smiled proudly and left with Jack. Henry and Martin kept looking at his muscular and apathetic back. How could he be easygoing in this situation?

"Henry... Keep an eye on him. I think he is planning something on my back." Martin could not help but gritted his teeth helplessly as Darius Simard could not get scared by his power.

"I will." Henry's eyes turned dark and he clenched his fists suppressing his anger. It seemed that they have determined to take revenge for this day. They were irritated and Darius Simard was quite careless. It seemed that he did not want to take Martin's deal seriously.
