Darius Simard turned back and looked at the court. Many eyes were on him waiting for his next assertion. They were baffled and eager to know the truth.
"The culprit is among those six people who were there in the hall. According to these soldiers, there were seven people in the hall when the king was hit. That means the culprit must be among maidservants."
"Pardon me, My Lord."
"Forgive us."
"We aren't. Pardon us."
The maidservants bent down and began to urge.
"We were not in the hall when the king was hit."
"We were in the kitchen when we heard the noise from the hall. When we arrived, the king was already injured and the queen of Wenkon was holding the silver glass."
Boom!
The meeting busted. A new revelation caught everyone's attention.
"Didn't you say that Lady Jane was holding the glass?"
"That is..." The maidservant suddenly realised that she did a silly mistake.
