76. My mother

In front of the chariot, they stopped and looked at each other. Jane Dover was eager to hear about her mother. She was looking at him with her hopeful gaze as if he would tell her the truth. He looked at Jack.

"Send her back to the castle."

Jane Dover shook her head, "Darius…" She pressed his palm. He looked at her coldly.

"I have something to do. You should go and…head to the training."

"I…"

He looked at Jack, "Send her back."

Jane Dover sadly  got into the cabin and Darius Simard looked at her with his heavy heart. Jack closed the door of the cabin and came to him.

"Martin is up to something serious." He said in his low voice.

"She looks terrified. Did something happen on the way?"

Darius Simard nodded, "I think I can't hide any longer about her mother."

Jack widened his eyes, "Her… Her mother? Do you know about her mother?"

"Yes, I know. In fact, I am the only one who knows where she is."

"Is she alive?"
