It was late at night. Jane Dover did not return to the chambers. When Vrinda Simard went to the garden for a lonely walk, he saw her standing near the fountain. He came beside her.
"It is too late at night. Darius has already returned. You should go to the chambers." He spoke in his low and heavy voice.
"I am scared to face him." She hugged her chest.
"My questions have put you on the hook." He gazed at her.
"Yes." She nodded.
"You asked those questions which I buried in the corner of my heart after catching his identity. But today, you made them alive."
"I didn't say those things to bother you."
"I know you will not do that. But how can I go in front of him without calming the storm that has risen in my heart?" She looked at him with her dry gaze.
"On seeing him, I would like to know the answers to those questions. And when he can't answer, I will be shattered. He too will be sad to see me. Maybe he is compelled."
