144. Cato’s disappointment

Jane Dover closed her eyes tighter in relief. The queen of Vontash stepped ahead and looked at the king.

"I want to talk to you."

"Please."

The queen of Vontash glanced at Jane Dover. She stood up from the bed and glanced at the king with her tearful gaze.

"I am fine." He said in his low voice. Jane Dover left the cabin with her heavy heart.

Vrinda Simard leaned back on the bed and looked at the queen with his cold gaze.

"Your room has been completely destroyed. It will be repaired as soon as possible. You'll have to stay here until then." She said.

"My ignorance has caused you a great deal of trouble. Please forgive me." He apologized politely.

"What are your thoughts? Will you make amends by apologising to me?" She was irritated.

"What you think is not my mistake. It is the truth." He replied firmly.

"But Prince Cato has discovered the truth." She glared at him.
